Yes flick I think all the info proves that without a doubt now, just shows how stories get twisted as they go down generations! Great to finally understand all of it! I've taken over tree from another family member so think they maybe made the wilder connection and built that as a seperate tree but never connected it?? Thanks for all your help!

The info posted seems to prove that Thomas born Southwark is in no way connected to Ellen who married Cocklin, and died in 1931.

Ok, removing southwark, i have found a thomas bowman, married to an ellen in the 1901 census with a daughter kathleen, occupation is coal carman! going to see if i can find kathleen christening now.

Not that I can find them in 1911.......and that would completely rule out the Thomas Bowman born in Southwark

The christening of ellen says father thomas and mother ellen. I know that Thomas was definately ellens father and his details are correct from speaking to my husbands great grandmother, ellens daughter ivy, before she passed away.
