unfortnately the marriage cert isnt much use for ages it just says they are both full age i guessing that means they where over 18. But great georges street does ring a bell so it does look like it could be her. |

Williamand Ann's son William born 1842 married Alice Cornthwaite that is where i found the link with a member of genes. i thinking he might of re married to or he could of moved to scotland where is father was born i definately need to research him more |

In 1838 "Full Age" would mean 21 or more. ( Mind you, some lied !!) |

yes i have them William is 35 and Ann 33 shows them has living in Burnley and says they are lodges with another family children chown are mary, william, john, robert and james. |

thanks Misty he definately is a mystery, maybe it worth me looking at the churh records where is wife is buried to see if she was buried alone or with others. |

I would guess that the Ages(s) shown in the workhouse is a different one as she was born in Scotland. |

thanks lancashire Ann i think Alexanders mum died in 1858 and i cant find any record of William McDuff his father born 1816 London after the 1851 Census |

there is possible 2 Alex Mcduff as in 1881 there is this one living in Preston but born Scotland |

in 1901 there is an alexander 1855 says chorley but cant access full transcript at the moment so cant see his occupation to see if his place of birth was put as Scotland by mistake of the head of the house maybe |

Hi everyone i need some help finding some children of William McDuff 1816 and Ann farley 1818 as discussed above, i have recently been given some written memories of one of the grandchildren which states that they had 16 children but only 8 lived to be grown ups so far i have managed to find 10 of these children with my own research on lancashire bmd and of course the kind people on here, the children i have so far are |
