to confirm that her middle name was indeed Florence:

Hilda was my Great aunt, one of five sisters. My grandmother was Amy May Foote who married Reginald Fone.

I’ve not looked at genes reunited for a while, can we still look at each other’s family trees? I have also lost touch with relatives in Shepton Mallet but I have a lot of memories from early days.
My father Dennis Fone was very friendly with Francis Showering.

I guess she could have died abroad but they seem to have done everything in Shepton Mallet. Unfortunately my family lost touch with her and her sister ( who married another Showering ) as "they got too rich". Shame!

Thats of course she died in this country?

Can anyone please find the death of Hilda F Showering? She was born in 1911 in Shepton Mallet Somerset and married Francis Showering, of Babycham fame, in 1934 in Shepton Mallet . He remarried in 1981. According to his obit it appears she died before his remarriage.
The name may have been mistranscribed as I can't find it anywhere!
