Looks like Allen was Elizabeth Ann's maiden name.

The missing bride in 1889 is not Elizabeth.
There were 9 Elizabeths married that quarter in Tavistock and all are accounted for.

The birth for Miriam Teresa Allen is still the only entry for a Teresa (or similar) born in first 2 quarters of 1891 in Cornwall.
So it still looks to be the same child.

..........and Elizabeth's age is consistant with the entry for the unmarried Elizabeth found in 1881 with father William.

Maybe Elizabeth put down she was married when she wasn't. (note there is no husband)

Best way to settle it would be to see who the mother is on the birth certificate.

That looks good Dea.
As William was a miner, a 24 hour industry, he could have been left off the census as he was at work didn't spend the night at home.
