Hi Somersetgirl. Thankyou for your help. In 1911 Elizabeth Rowland was working in Hyde Park Gdn's For the Stubb Family. Gael from down under has given me a marriage for her that look's very promising. And I shall follow up. |

Hi Thank's I have now received this marriage cert. And it is the right one. Wittness to marriage was her sister Rena and her husband. I was hoping Gertrude would be on it as well. But no Luck.... |

Hi. Long time since I've visited here. I don't think I have the right Bertie Rowland. I believe he died in the war. And the death cert. I have sent for. Say's Gertrude Mary Rowland was he's mother and was with him in Wales when he died.. I believed he was her brother. And at the time of his death> She was Gertrude Mary Webb. Having married in 1908. Could this be the explanation of why she left the family home about 1917. How can I prove these are the same people. Help please. |

Perhaps someone with Ancestry would be good enough to look for possible service records for Bertie................based on the death info.................... |

As Gertrude was Joyce's grandmother, one would expect her to know the names of the children, although in the original post, she didn't mention that she knew the woman's married name............... |
