Hi again I have just been sent a marriage record for JAMES BEVAN Marriages: Spouse: HANNAH KINNERSLEY Family Marriage: 03 NOV 1831 Dilwyn, Hereford, England. I wonder if this is the James I am looking for, the name Kinnersley has cropped up a few times in the family line, althought it has been spelt differently. I suppose a 1841/51 census with James and Hannah Beven would help if anyone can find it, sorry to be a pest. |

hi Oxibird, the 1841 census looks interesting. Can you tell me if James and Hannah were born in Hereford, I know they did not give birth places in 1841, but it would say if they were born in county or not. I am not sure if you have already posted the 1851 census for the same couple, I will go back and check, if not can you see them anywhere in 1851, I know I am a pest but you really good at finding the impossible. |

hi, yes I have m in the 1881 census he would have been with first family in 1871, there is one posted but I am not sure it is the right one. His first wife was called Sarah. they married in 1857. He may still of been at home with his parents in 1851/41. Father James William Bevan. If anyone can find the census please let me know. He was born Hereford so he may still be in the same area |

Hi Jaz, thanks for the info. I know it looks like the right man but I am confused. The Henry Bevan I have been following was remarried in 1877, they only had one son I know of, William Henry Bevan, he married Jessie Bloomer, so I have they line I think belongs to me. On his second marriage he said he was a widower, he gave his age as 38, making his birth 1839c, his father was James William(s) Bevan. |
