Micheal - regarding the changing of a maiden name when used as a middle name on subsequent generations - this does happen. For example, one of my ancestor's surname was Neall but when this was given to male descendants as a middle name it changed to the more traditional Neil. Just something to bear in mind. |

the gerald could be a type error when being added to this programme we do know that his mothers maiden name was gerrard so i that thats why it on the birth cert as gerrard i don't know how to trace his wife i have tryed every think that can be tryed and i can't get a marriage cert if they didn't get married i don't know if someone has the access to electrol rolls for the 1920's or 30's for the acocks green /tysley area of birmingham that could be a clue or access to burial records for that area to try and find it that for emma |

Micheal, are you 100% sure about her maiden name? Getting your nan's (or one of her siblings) birth certificates will congirm her maiden name. |
