Well hes proving very hard to find isnt he1871 he is with Julia says he was born IOW aged 53 carpenter Son aged 6 and daughter Julia 1month ,not on the 1881 so presumed died young cant find marriage cert Julia was born in brighton daughter of a surgeon Thomas Bradley and the story in the family is her family disowned her because she married beneath her. He was a lot older than her.

Where did you find them in 1861? I presume you mean you've found Alfred & Julia as the children weren't born in1861.

Were Julia and Alfred together?

Have you got Alfred jnr's birth cert? If so what was his mother's maiden name.

Interesting, in 1871 there is a one month Julia Stevens. However no Julia Stevens/variant registered in Brighton for March or June quarters.

They are hard to find in those census's where was he hiding for 20 years. maybe he used Stephens who knows

cannot see a marraige for Alfred and Julia either

Please can anybody do a census look up for Alfred Stevens born Brighton but says IOW district, in 1818 died 1892 in brighton married Julia Bradley had a son also Alfred William Stevens. I Have them all on 1861/1871/1881 any help most appreciated
