William is on the 1891 census with Sarah, i think in the 1901 census Sarah was in a home for a while sick, i think walter the youngest son is listed with his grandfather John Steel(stell) or uncle. I know that in later years when my grandfather Alfred their youngest child was a married man himself. William walked with a limp as if he injured his leg. |

my gr grandfather William horace Trott married in 1884 age 23, to sarah beavis steel age 21. he was a blacksmith they lived in the deptford area then moved to West Ham area in the 1900s. William father was a Millwright. i cant see where the hawker came from. |

The Coombes form is such a mess they might have got the childrens' ages wrong. After all William is a 'wife' and sarah a 'husband'. John William could easily be 1 not 7 - fits better with the marriage. |

William James is on the marriage certificate, he was 26 and Sarah ann was 24. they married in january and my grandmother was born in march. their address is 104 Napier road west ham William. Sarah was at 60 Napier road. |

This is the one that i found. but i believe Laura was the eldest child, then William 1908, Henry 1916, Margaret 1917, David 1923. I cant believe my family are so difficult to find. |
