My son is thinking that his mum might be related to THE Henry ireton of Cromwell fame.

You will have to go back a few more centuries to discover if your Henry Ireton is the one from Cromwell fame.:-)

Hi. This is Sheps son, who's also been working on this all day! My dad has gone to look for more information in the house.

So, it seems that Henry Ireton's parents were Samuel and Margaret Ireton. I think I have Margaret born around 1793.

The Cromwell period Henry Ireton (1611-1651) had a son also called Henry Ireton (1651-1711). IF there is any connection between that Henry and Samuel, there could only be a couple more in it.

I found some more information about Adelaide, but more interested in going the other way.

I use a number of sites, its just I always start my searches with Ancestry and FindmyPast.

Going back to William Augustus Parry and his wife Emma.
I can't find their death dates anywhere. It could only have been in the 1940's or 1950's.
Also a little advice please. What sites will help me find William and Emma's children, my wife's auntie's and uncles? I have found that Violet married George Maltby in 1942.
They all survived the war.
