Catherine, thank for your input, however can you give me your thoughts. There seems duplication of Williams. I will list the events - Date, Name, location, mother
1819, Caroline, Crown Court, Mary Ann 1820, William, Curtain Road, Ann 1822, Emma, Crown Court, Mary Ann 1824, George, Crown Court, Mary 1825, Rebecca, Crown Court, Mary Ann 1827, Henry John, Curtain Road, Ann 1829, William, Crown Court, Ann 1831, Ann, Fosters Bldgs, Mary Ann
We have 2 x William. Maybe 2 families here. William 1 and Henry John both born Curtain Road with mother Ann. Everyone else except last, at Crown Court. Of course, Crown Court maybe in Curtain Road so that's fun and games.
Now see your findings for WT's possible marriage - Foster Lane compared location of Ann's birth - Fosters Bldgs. Spooky !
Any thoughts?

Re 2 births for William:- this happens quite often because the first child dies and so a child born at a later date gets the same name. This is especially true when the child that dies holds the same name as the father, or grandfather. Could of course be two different families as the address is different on two of the records, but the name being so unusual and father's occupation is the same, so I doubt it. Mother's name does change, but in those days people often had a middle name and had a tendency to use one or the other or both, which does sometimes confuse research. I don't have a map of London at this time so don't know the various areas noted so I don't know if they are near each other or not, but I would think it very likely that Fosters Buildings could very well be on Foster Lane. If these places still exist, maybe you can find them on googlemap.

Ann, I have to be honest, I didn't notice the Caroline French. Looking at her age, her birth year w/b c 1856, one year before our Maria was born. However birthplace is Stanstead, a fair distance from Islington/Hackney where we expect our Ann French to be at that time. Thanks for your contributions.

Looking at the birth date of the Henry James Tarbox it's possible that he is the grandson of one of the Tarboxes listed previously, born between 1819 and 1831. I shall have to follow the lines of each child to see if I can get a connection. Many thanks to all for the contributions. Even though the objectives were not fully achieved, a great deal of valuable information has been unearthed. Thank you all.
