Hope this thread is still current? I have some further information on Kate (Catherine) Robson but still can't find where she was born or a marriage. A headstone confirms that she died 1925 and was buried in Hull. In same grave is Minnie (d 1935), William (d 1968) and Enid Mary (d 2005). On her death cert the cert is "informant son Samuel Robson" - can't find anything for him either and states "widow of John Robson, master builder". Can anyone offer any help please? Thank you! |

I have a birth cert for May's son James son (1916). On this it states: Kate Robson, grandmother. Present at birth. This is the only later link that I have but it confirms that she must have been around in 1916. Thanks! |

Hi! I only have May's birth certificate. I found Kate on the 1871 (aged 10) and 1891 census (aged 30). Both indicate living in Hull. I can't see that there is a Hartlepool connection as everything indicates Hull. Adeline - I do think this is Kate's birth (that ties in). Thank you. |

Hi! Trying to find any information on KATE ROBSON, born around 1861 in Hull. (I have found her in the 1971 and 1981 census but nothing for 1901 and 1911). Kate had a daughter called May who was born on 24 May 1894 in Hull. There is no father's name on May's birth certificate and she is registered as May Marion Robson. I would like to find out what happened to Kate after this date although she does crop up again in 1916 as being present at the birth of a grandson so she must have kept May if she wasn't married. Can you help me please? Thanks! A death record would be useful too please. |
