Actually, am not sure if the information in the previous post is 100% correct but dont want to delete it. To add to the mystery I just checked the parish entry for the marriage of william walls and catherine bell in dunfermline in 1848. The entry has been written in in full but then, inexplicably, has been severely crossed out. There are no other entries relating to them that I could see. |

Not sure how one might confirm this but ran that information through the parish birth records for scotland and came up with the following information: |

Sorry for yet another call to help but have already come up with a mystery after that recent burst of information. From what Ozi gave me I was able to find out that William Walls as born in Fife in 1821, and died aged 46 in Dunfermline in 1869. I was able to find his death certificate on scottishpeople but the field marked "father/mother" was left completely blank! How would you go about trying to find out who they may have been? Typical that you solve one problem only to come across another! |

Looks like William dies between 1861 and 1871. |

Hi all, I was wondering if any kind and clued up souls out there would be able to give me (still somewhat of an amateur at this geneology stuff!) a hand with information on a certain ancestor of mine: I'm looking for any information (or how to get hold of it myself) on a William Walls from Scotland (Dumfermlineshire we believe) born in the early 1800s (sorry I know date is very very important but dont have it!). He married a local woman called Catherine Bell, was a draper, and had one son (that we know of) called John Walls, born c.1853 in Dumfermline. More specifically I'm hoping to find any information people may be able to shed on his parents and ancestors. I'm using scottishpeople.gov.uk at present. Many thanks to all who take the time to help and reply really appreciate it! |
