Ellen - I looked at batch # c119501 and it looks like a quirky IGI extraction of females only. |

Wondering if anyone might be able to help me out with this train of thought. At the moment am rather stumped by the mystery of the parents of William Walls (1821-1869), info on him can be found at the beginning of this post. Family 'legend' has it that our Walls family came from Beath/Cowdenbeath in Fife. I've been doing some research on the principle that William Walls was orphaned young, and didnt know much about his family hence why his son failed to fill in the parent section of William's death certificate in 1869. I've found that within days of each other in 1830 husband and wife John Walls and Margaret Walls (nee Spears) died in Beath. I was wondering if anyone knew a way of finding out if the couple had children or if there was any way I may be able to verify if this theory is correct? Does it even sound plausible!? Have really appreciated the help so far, if anyone enjoys a good mystery then please feel free to help! |

Is there any way of finding out anything about this couple/children they had? I know it's possible to do so through the IGI but not specifically how? |

William Walls seems to be a bit of a dud, was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with information on the children of John Walls and Agnes Hynd. The pair are found on the 1901 and 1911 northern ireland censuses, although John Walls died before the 1911 one (although we know not when or how). They had children Alexander (1883), John (1885), Frederick (1887), William (1891), twins James and Catherine (1894) and Robert Ronald (1897). I was wondering if anyone might suggest a good website to find out details on marriages/emmigration/generally any info relating to them. I have tried emeraldancestry but found that the information there is not particularly helpful in developing an understanding. For instance I know Alexander married Annie Mckervill in Ballymena 1916, John a Lucy Margaret Robinson in 1909, Frederick a Martha Jeffrey Ledlie in 1911 but could find none of the other info usually recorded on marriage certificates. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated please! Thank you! |
