Just to take a Brewer birth to James and Fanny that is easy to trace because of the name :) |

Well done Rose! So this shows her living with Browers or Brewers? Was she married at this point? |

this is very out on a limb...but the only record I can find with a James and Edward, mother Fanny of the right locations which all match apart from Fanny's age.. but I would consider it a possibility> |

I can't find them in 1871 oddly, not under the name of Brewer..nor is there a marriage I can see of Fanny to Brewer... |

So is this Fanny in 1881? And are the Brewer children hers?? |

Samantha | Report | 12 Jul 2010 13:03 |
Thank you so much. I have been completely baffled by this for years. Elizabeth was definately born 1884/1885 to a Fanny Hedge who was living at stanford rivers workhouse, listed as widowed in 1881!! How strange. |

I will have anothr look Samantha..but I think there is a discrepancy with dates here.... if Fanny gave birth to Eliz' in 1885 and you think she was in her 30s...then she cant have been married that early... ? |

Elizabeth was born 1885 at this workhouse according to her birth certificate. Fanny Hedge is shown but not a father! Thank you x |
