The 3 girls you mentioned are with margaret, although Jonathan seems to have an Elizabeth with him in 1911

They look like her children and she must have been early 40s when she had your dad and his brother. Do you know when Margaret died and where?

Having children in your late 30s/early 40s is not unusual.

Think you really need to purchase your dad's birth certificate. It will list Margaret's surname from her first marriage also.

I am thinking Margarets 1st husband could have died in WW1 as not seeing a death. There are a few John Unsworth's that died in the war but not sure which one he would be?

ive no idea when but when my dad married mum they lived at booth st thatto heath the same address you gave me ,so i should think there or st,helens hospital,

I just looked up the origanal 1911 for Margaret and she actually had 8 children from her 1st marriage but 4 died
