	Only just found this thread, so not absorbed it. But might Warrington have been Cheshire, not Lancashire? Don't know if it makes a difference. I've always known it as Cheshire.

	Back again! Maybe these? Births, all born Prescot Lancashire?? Mary Rylands 1843, Henry 1842 William 1844. Ann 1848, Jane 1852, Found the above also other Rylands names on Lancashire BMD This is what I have found so maybe if you can find the family on the Census's

	yes, I saw that Ormskirk birth but didn't think anyone born Ormskirk would give a POB of Manchester. But you never know! This is very frustrating! Can't find a Ryland/Joyce marriage and can't find a Mary Ryland birth, at least not in Warrington. I think, Susan, you need to dig out that marriage cert. With Mary's father's name and occupation we might find her on the census.

	I really dont know here. Try and find her on census with parents in 1851 and try tracking her forwards maybe? Its not worth getting that Joyce 1877 birth as Potty has identified him on 1891.

	Thaank you Potty and Fanny ByGaslight, I do have a copy of her 2nd marriage but it is in a box as I am in a middle of a move! I supose the only thing I can do is order his birth certificate, but I have paid out for other certificates before only to end up with no connection! What would you two advice?
