1 day in the dog house ginns ????

it was only in the last century that people got 3 months hard labour for stealing a handkerchief - if you could have seen my poor tree i am sure that you would think the punishment should be many times that !!!!! :-(

anyway - it is our 43rd wedding anniversary tomorrow so i suppose i will have to forgive him by then - he had better buy me some lovely flowers - that is all i can say ;-) :-D :-D

Sounds like your OH was in the dog house after that episode Dea........ oooops!!

Can I please ask another favour?

Thought I had finished my soldiers and realised that I had forgotten about one
Herbert Baker. Have found a possible living in Wigan but can't attach him to any of the war dead.

It's possibly Herbert Baker born 1887 in Hindley - parents James and Elizabeth - and I've accounted for most of the soldiers with that name...... :(

If anyone has a minute to check for me, I would be so grateful. Thanks.

oh no !!!!!! - not another surgeon !!!!!

we have a very lovely tree in our front garden which i have nurtured since it was a tiny sapling over 30 years ago. - it is the prettiest around and admired by everyone, - or it was !!!!!

we like to keep it pruned lightly, especially on the one side where it overhangs my neighbours driveway and, usually i direct my hubby as to where to cut to keep a good shape.

however, he obviously decided to tackle it while i was at the hospital on monday.

i didn't notice when i got home but when i saw it yesterday it was straight up and thin on one side and the other side was fat and had a huge bare hole in it and tall spiky bits at the top and................ well, i think you get the picture !!!!!

i had to call in a tree surgeon to sort it out....... :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

it cost a fortune but at least it might recover now.

he has had to cut loads off to get it into some sort of shape but at least it is now presentable ;-) :-D :-D

i do hate to see 'shaped' trees so i hope it recovers quickly !!!

Dea

Dea Report 8 Jul 2014 18:00

not too bad thank you ginns - i have managed to re-design the sling which they put on me so that it doesn't strangle me now and keeps my hand up as it should do.

taking all the pain killers - they will re-dress in 1 week and then back to the plastic sugeons 2 weeks later for the biopsy results and to plan what comes next.

glad you got the letter sorted - good luck with that,

Good morning... :-D

I'm going to nick a bite of Dea's bacon butty........munch.....thank you dearest Dea. ;-)

You lot sound busy......Gins needs proper specs, she'll be using hair lacquer instead of deodorant at this rate....haahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa.......can't you just see it??

Dea, I am really grateful for that info on Joseph Smith - thank you - sending great big (((hugs))) but I will be careful of your poorly finger. My grandson used to say he had a 'poorly pinger'.

One interesting thing about this lot of soldiers, is the fact that, whilst the majority of the lads were miners, 3 of them were church organists/music teachers. Isn't that odd? Managed to find some pictures of them too.

Linds, so sorry about J.'s mum......you must feel so helpless :-(

I've been to see the nurse. My cholesterol is 6.7 (I think) but the good cholesterol outweighs the bad. My BP is excellent ( :-S) My pulse is good and steady and my sugars are okay too.

All in all, when she had done all the necessary calculations she had to do, it turns out that I still don't qualify for statins as yet. Not bad for an old 'un I suppose. ;-)

Right, am flying off again......be good...... :-D :-D

Dea
