I don't know why people delete, it's not taking up room on your hard drive. I like to keep everything, you never know when you might need it

AAhhhh !!

I have just been to the help section and looked in FAQ's and it seems that you can delete a contact and if you do this then all the messages you have sent to or received from them will also disappear :-0

She must have deleted me ! :-0

Such a shame as I would love to have followed that one through :-(

I have never been 'deleted' before and have thousands of messages in my in-box going back years from when I first joined the site :-( :-(

Those girls tired me out yesterday. Especially when O gave F into trouble quoting her Mummy's words :-D

Now to get the house back into order and get the food shop done. Oh the joys :-)

The strangest thing has happened to my mail ..................... :-S

Sometime during the past week or two I have had someone contact me asking for help with her family.

We exchanged about 6 or 8 messages over a couple of days and then she sent off for a cert.

Today, I thought I would look her up to see if the cert had arrived and there is no trace of any message from or to her in my mails :-S :-S :-S

Has anyone any idea how this can happen ?????

my latest is a 1958 triumph. very few knobs to mess with and simple gears.

i may have done that in the "find living relatives". oops!

Bu##er !! - Hubby has just come home and I told him that I couldn't work out how to turn the radio on !! - He got in the car and pressed in the 'turny knob' for the radio volume and on came all the display for the radio etc !!!

I never thought to 'press' it because there are so many other buttons to press and that is a 'turny knob' !!! :-0 :-D :-D

Anyway - I will start again in the morning !! ;-) :-D :-D

Well, I have collected my new car (by the way - it is not 'quite' new - 2 years old a few days ago ! Not worth me buying a brand new one when I only do 1,000 miles a year on average !! ;-) )

I drove it well enough and followed hubby all the way but he has now gone off to play golf so I have been sitting in it on the drive for over half an hour and I still can't work out which is the 'on' knob for the radio so here I am sitting reading the manual but obviously it doesn't include such a basic instruction ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Too much technology here ! - It has radio, CD, MP3, USB, I pod etc etc etc...... so it may take me a while ......... :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It also tells me when to change into which gear but when I learned to drive there were only 4 gears and even though my last car had 5, I never felt the need to use the 5th :-D :-D - I think I may have to start using all of them or it might just get cross with me :-0

Some good news at last.

MIL is being moved to a rehab unit today.

When we saw her this afternoon she was all packed up and waiting on transport.

Yesterday OH took her up a flask of tomato soup and she ate most of it.

Today she had mince and tatties for lunch then she had her cuppa and a biscuit while we were there :-D

Hopefully she will get some help now :-)

Aw....poor car

What a sad day !!

My poor little car was taken away this afternoon and I have just received an e-mail with a 'Certificate of Destruction' attached !!

Sadly, it is no more !!! :-( :-( :-(

Hope I get to like the new one just as much...............

I have started knitting again for the girls. got a cardigan for F on the needles and nearly got the back done :-)

I haven't done anything for ages and had bought wool which was just sitting there.
