Phew busy morning
Girls Nan came in with them for a visit.
Now P is in going over his work stuff with J.
Thanks Dea I did feel bad I don't think she realises the price of wool now.
Gins yes you can buy them cheaper but they don't look as nice or last as long.
F is wearing the ones I did for O all the ones that were bought have been thrown out ads they looked "old"
I will PM you both a photo when I finish sewing them up x
It's wet and coldish then dry and coldish here :-(

Good morning all :-)
You are not being 'rotten' at all Linds - these expenses do mount up and it is one thing paying out for your grandchildren but quite another when you end up paying for things to give away to people you do not know. ;-)
It's a nasty cold wet winters morning here so I thought I would make some porridge for breakfast - served with golden syrup..........
Full English to follow and some cheese and onion tartlets if you prefer...
See you all later,
Dea Xxx

I have been a busy bee.
Finished O's hat and now working on F's
DIL's friend has just had a little girl and she has asked me if I will knit one for her to give to the baby.
Oh and do I have any of the wool left :-P
Not a lot and I plan to do a stripey hat with whatever I have left from both hats.
Sorry but at almost £6 a ball dear DIL you buy it and I will gladly knit it.
Or am I being rotten :-(
I also think it is too strong a pink for a newborn..

Well, what a numpty!
On Friday afternoon, I had a big Dalmatian running around my back garden. He kept coming and going and as none of our neighbours have dogs, I reported him lost to the local dog warden
Just had the dog on the garden again and then heard it barking next door. I didn't know the new next door neighbours had a dog!
The back is almost fully enclosed and next doors garden is about 14 feet lower than ours, he must have jumped, very high and got in through a very small gap (for a very big dog) in the fencing

Hi Linds,
Sorry - I got carried away on a thread which I have been working on and then the site wouldn't let me get off the main page to open up any of the threads so I gave up.
Just cooking lunch but will be back later.

Hello everyone :-)
Busy day housework this morning.
Then we went to get some dollars to give to niece for her 21st which was yesterday.
SIL and her are going to NYC next week her birthday treat.
It was my brothers birthday (twins) on the 2nd, I am on 8th so is one of my niece's
Next Sat is my friends 60th then on the Sunday it is my DIL's
I hate October lol
After we got the dollars we went to pick up No 1 son as he wanted to come with us to visit his gran.
Niece was there so gave her her present .
Then we dropped son off and drove like mad to get to the wool shop before it closed.
We made it with 10 minutes to go :-)
I know the lady as I have been a few times and I said "don't worry I won't be long I know exactly what I want.
I only took less than 5 minutes she laughed and said "you did know what you wanted! "
I needed another ball of wool to finish that cardigan for F not same dye lot but wont matter.
DIL also asked if I would knit hats for the girls as its getting cold now.
Its an easy one that she really likes just garter stitch. I can have one done in less than an hour.
She is coming round tomorrow so should have them both finished for her to take home.
Anyone guess what I will be doing tonight? ;-) ;-)

Yep Dea we were busy :-D
Took the girls to do the food shop and took them home just after 4pm
Then came home and got the shopping away tidied the house made dinner and collapsed :-)
My you two have been in the wars <3
Gins hope your tooth has settled down. 15 minutes drilling :-(
We have an empty nest for a couple of days
I couldn't get on my laptop when the girls were here as they would have wanted to play on it.
They want to be on the I-pad or my tablet all the time and Mummy and Daddy don't want them using them all the time.
I agree while they can be good they also have to play with toys so we had to say they were away being charged and I had to stay off my laptop :-D
The things us grandparents have to do :-)
Going to sit and get on with the cardigan now x

I is here Ginns <3 <3 <3
Take some pain killers Ginns and I will send you over some 'soft' strawberries and Cava (NOT that Champagne rubbish !!!) ;-) <3 <3
I think Linds must still be somewhat busy !! :-(
I have to go for my Flu Jab in the morning - they will think I am a 'junkie' when I take my cardie off as I went for a blood test the other day and I was booked in with a 'phlebotomist' rather than a nurse! - She was lovely but looked on my records which said that I needed a 'butterfly' to be used for my blood tests. - She said that she had not been trained to do this so would try a 'blue needle' but she also called for a more senior 'nurse' person to come to assist if that didn't work !!
Well - It didn't !!!!! - SO - I have a black, blue, green and purple bruise about 4" in diameter on my right arm and another small bruise on my left where the other one used the appropriate equipment.................. :-( :-( :-(
Hope your tooth stops aching soon,
Dea Xxx
