Glad your tests came back positive Dea <3

I need to see this 'ugly' finger, I'm sure it's not as bad as you think it is

Anyhow, my mom always had her little finger stuck in the air.......out of choice!

Dea Report 16 Oct 2014 12:23

Well, I am just back from the hospital with good news and bad !!

Firstly, all the latest biospies done on poor finger have all come back clear so they don't have to chop it off :-)

However, it still has to keep it's big bandage on for several more months :-( I have to go back in 6 months time to see how well it has healed by then :-(

The silly thing has been wrapped up since June and stuck up in the air since May so it doesn't bend anymore and it does look very ugly so, in a way, I am quite glad to keep it covered up for now. Such a shame though that they had to make such a mess of it to find that the original bone infection has now cleared up and there is nothing further wrong :-|

Such is life, I suppose..............

If we want more information about our families, how are we supposed to get help from the more experienced researchers like yourself if we cant use the FIND ANCESTORS BOARD?

:-S :-S :-S

I got the 5 year warranty when I sent a little card to Vokera but they are saying I'm not covered :-|

The gas fitter told me Vokera have revoked on all extended warranty as of April this year :-P

He said the boilers are good but the remote thermostat is pants. He can fit another one, service the boiler for about £160.......no idea if that's a good price>>>>>>DEA?

Glad you are all snug and cosy now Gins

After having no heating for a week a few years ago when the old boiler died we took out the extended warranty with this one.

Gets an annual service and no repair bills :-)

I am meeting friends for lunch today :-)

Gee

Gee Report 15 Oct 2014 11:39

Snug as a bug and that's what the gas fitters company is called!

New gas valve £90
Labour/callout £70

Can't complain at that, Vokera wanted £250ish quid just for the call out fee :-P

Gee

Gee Report 15 Oct 2014 11:07

Fitter is here :-D

There is no gas getting into the boiler so it looks like a new gas valve is needed

Dea

Dea Report 15 Oct 2014 08:22

Good morning Ginns - hope your boiler gets sorted today as it is nasty weather out there :-(

Lovely breakfast - I had some of both :-D :-D

See you all later,

Son has just baffled me with science Ginns !! - He says they are not 'the best' !!!

First of all you have to have 1 - 1 1/2 bars of water pressure !! - Preferably 1.7+ !!!

Then I need to find out if it is firing up on both water and heating and if it makes a noise when firing up and if so, what sort of noise !!

Then it could be a blocked heat exchanger or sludge in the system, a gas valve shut down or more likely a circuit board fault ????????????????? He would need to listen to it to know !!

Hey ho - bring on the boiler fitter !!!!!!!!!!

He did say that he would pop round and have a look but I thought that Sheffield would be a little bit far !!! ;-) :-D

That's mine, a remote control with the boiler....I had 17 years out of the last boiler/combi before we had trouble!

Aw....you managed to tire them out then :-)

Dea

Dea Report 14 Oct 2014 19:36

Have rung my son but he is out at the moment - probably stil at work :-(

I will ask as soon as he gets back to me.....................

Gins the girls have tired me out :-)

We went to the park and had lunch in the tea room.

Grampa put F down for a sleep 20 minutes later she was still not sleeping so I went up and she was sitting up in the cot said "Gran Grampa left me! "

I took her into bed and she still refused to lie down she sat there then slowly the little eyes closed and she went sideways

she was leaning on her arm so I told her to cuddle in to me and 5 minutes later she was out for the count. :-D

Gins I have a vokera boiler about 3 years only needed to top up the water level.

We just got a remote control fitted to it as the little selector switch was a nightmare to use.

Hope you at least have some portable heaters <3

What does your son think about Vokera boilers....Ive had three faults since fitting two years ago!
