Good for you Dea, no nonsense with nana!

Funeral went well, a humanist affair and V's you daughter read a poem, very eloquently by all accounts. Well done to her, I couldn't have done that

I've lit a candle for V <3

Dea Report 18 Dec 2014 18:10

Hope everything went well for V today Ginns and hope you are feeling a bit better <3

Grandchildren have just been collected and boy was I glad to see them go !! ;-)

Grandson told mummy that he was still feeling too poorly to go to school so she brought him round - It was obvious that there was absolutely nothing wrong with him (apart from a little left over cough occasionaly and a snuffle) - He was a right pain all day because he was bored and we wouldn't let him watch TV all day so made him find things to play with which usually kept his attention for about 10 minutes and then he was bored again. He even wanted to be taken to 'Mini Monsters' (an indoor children's play area) but we said if he was well enough to go there he was well enough for me to take him home to get changed and we would take him into school !!

I have told him that he IS going to school tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be in bed early tonight !

How very silly of them Ginns - you must be very disappointed !! :-(

Good to hear about MIL Linds i it sounds like she had a lovely little family party.

Do you know what the Nursing Home is like? Is it a nice one and near to you so you can all visit?

Have to get myself ready as grandson has been off school poorly all week and he may be arriving here again a little after 8am if he is still off, though he was quite a bit better yesterday afternoon so he might be in school today - I hope so!

Poor thing missed his Christmas Party at school yesterday :-(

Just time to toast a few teacakesfor you and then I am off >>>>>>>>>>

Gins,

That is disappointing and also silly of them both.

We are just home from visiting MIL in hospital its her 87th birthday today.

SIL and her daughter were up with my FIL

All 3 of our boys decided to visit and S brought the girls who sang Happy Birthday and gave her hugs and kisses

MIL's face lit up when she saw them it was lovely

WE got some nice pictures of the 3 generations :-D

As we were leaving the sister told us she is getting transferred to the care home tomorrow and will call and let us know when she is on her way.

So glad she will be settled before Christmas.

How buddy disappointing. Just marked two assignments (same subject, two different students) and what do I find.....they are almost identical in content and wording :-|

I've emailed them both, no reply from one and the other says it's a spooky coincidence...yeah right

It was so obvious, I didn't need the software which scans for plagiarism

I've had to refer them both

We hit the shops today and have made a huge dent in the list.

M met us and picked boots they didn't have his size but have ordered them online (they did it in the shop) and they will arrive in about 3 days.

I ordered coats for the girls online and also got the new homeowners a Christmas tree which will arrive at the store tomorrow.

I feel as though we are getting somewhere at last.

MIL's 87 tomorrow and we are all going up at night with a cake and her presents.

We heard today that at last they have got her into a home although they missed a place in one by 20 minutes :-(

The third one they tried had a place and hopefully she will be in soon and we can take the girls to visit.

I've done that before Dea and getting them lined up with the labels can be a right pain

Linds..........you are all in the wars, you'll be better by the big day :-)

Dea

Dea Report 16 Dec 2014 13:13

Silly me !!!!

I have just writen all my cards and printed out the address labels to put on them.

I 'fidled about' for ages trying to get the labels off before I realised I had printed the addresses on the backing sheets - I had to turn all the sheets over and reprint on the other side ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Well, I expected a 'phone call this morning to say that grand-daughter was off school but instead it was grandson who was up all night coughing and had to stay at home !! :-(

Grand-daughter wanted to go and said she was o.k. but I'm not sure she will last the whole day remembering what she looked like yesterday - we will see later :-0

Roll on the end of term on Friday and they can all have a good rest !!!

It must have been lovely for a poorly one to have smiles on her face <3

Dea

Dea Report 14 Dec 2014 16:07

It was lovely Ginns !

A couple of years ago we took them on a similar thing but on an old steam train as their other grandparents used to take them but Grandpa was very ill at the time so we booked it for them and took their Nana along with us.

It was about £26 for each of us and was a total 'rip-off' - the children were cold, bored and hungry and got a rubbish present so we vowed never to do it again.

I don't really mind how much it costs as long as they get some enjoyment out of it!

This trip was £5 each and the people on board were dressed as elves and, of course Santa was there and they were all very friendly and made sure the children had a lovely time and they also had a very nice present.

We had a Pub lunch first and grand-daughter wasn't very well but managed to get through the trip with a big smile on her face.

I expect she has spent the afternoon snuggled up in bed but she is happy.
