AmazingGrace08 Report 15 Jul 2013 04:03

Hi all,

Have been off for a bit, life at work and at home has been really hectic, lots of late nights after midnight with work, and my weekends have been catching up with housework and children's parties!

Would be lovely to have a couple of nice quiet weeks :)

All day Saturday I spent tidying up and storing things for my daughter, honestly I don't know how a five year old has that much stuff! Lots of bits of paper and assorted odd bottle tops, key tags, rubber bands etc all thrown out (whilst she was out otherwise NOTHING would have gone!

Everything is nice and tidy and I have a pile of clothes I might try and sell on Ebay for the first time

Hope all is well with everyone :)

Cheers

Rach

Knitted swimming cossies :-S

Not been as hot here today.

I have been trying all day to get on to Hotmail without success checked the status and says they had problems a few days ago and are now running normally :-S

Oh no their not b****y pain anyone know how to report it if I cant email???

Son came round with GD who promptly wanted all the toys out in the garden.
She walked into the corner of the table and has the start of a black eye :-(

I put a "Mr Bump" gel pack on it and said count to 10 with Gran which she did but she then wanted to put it on my sore face and knee.

She was quite happy to take turns using it even happier to get a "treat" ;-)

When they were going home she said "Gran O give you a magic kiss and make you all better" aw shucks :-D

Dea so glad you are so much better OH sends his love <3

You might well be joking Jonesey but I well remember that when I was a little girl (In the olden days as my son used to say when he was small !!), I had a knitted swimming costume !!! - Say no more ;-) :-D :-D

These well-meaning aunties with their knitting needles did not seem to understand the word 'embarrasment' !!! :-D

You are right about it being buddy hot.

My lot are all frolicking in our swimming pool right now. I would join them but I'm a little embarrassed about the state of my knitted swimming trunks which tend to sag a bit when wet. ;-)

Dea Report 14 Jul 2013 16:07

Me too Ginns - you get quite 'fed up' of it !! and it means absolutely nothing !!!!!

I remember after an Op I had saying it was a 7 and the nurse said that she couldn't let me go home then as it was more than a 5 - I immediately told her it had gone down to a 3 and she knew I was lying but still let me go home - That was all I wanted - just to go home !!!

It makes a mockery out of it though doesn't it ??

Anyway - that's all over now for you and J - you don't have to think about it any more !

Get on with the rest of your life .................................. together with your lovely family.

Good to hear Dea <3

I cant tell you how many times Ive heard the 1 - 10 scale over the last few months

Dea

Dea Report 14 Jul 2013 15:48

Linds - they always ask me at the hospital - "in marks out of 10 (10 being unbearable), how do you rate your pain ?? (If you say a 7 they won't let you go home so - reduce it to a 3 and they let you out ;-) :-D :-D)

Anyway - Just recently it has been around 16 - 18 most of the time, occasionally going down to a 7 or 8.

Today it has been 3 - 4 for most of the day so - YES!! - I am starting to get better !!!

Thanks Linds

She will have been watching and laughing at the amount of food and drink that was on the table :-0

A mate from Wales said 'we'll never eat and drink all that'.....we did tell her 'this is a Flanagan wake'!

What sort of 'celt' is that

:-D :-0 :-S ;-)

Gins sounds as if Josie got a brilliant wake really good that your family and friends in New York could join in. You did her proud and I am sure she was watching over you all <3 <3

Dea

Dea Report 14 Jul 2013 10:03

Ginns - that sounds just 'perfect' !!! <3 <3 <3

I was wondering about her friend in New York - how wonderful to have been able to set up that link so that everyone over there could be 'with you' !

You have all 'done Josie proud' - she was a lucky lady to have been loved so much by so many - I am sure that she deserved and appreciated all the love that she received.

Lots of love to you all,

Mornin all~~~~~

Eggy bread, just the thing Cyns :-D

Wow, what a day. Had a beautiful service for Josie and couldn't get out of the place for people stopping me and saying 'it's like looking at Josie'....of course I added that I am much younger than she was!

We had a live link to NY for family and friends so they could be at the service.

Had a fab Irish wake but couldn't get a buddy taxi home due to Ramadan. Got one in the end by flagging a private hire and explaining the situation.

Now we have all planned a trip to NY to scatter her ashes.

Amazing send off for an amazing lady <3
