Can't park at the Hotel Linds as I have decided (well, I think I have decided) not to stay overnight but to travel back the same day!

I wouldn't be up to going out in the evening and it takes me so long to 'sort myself out' in the mornings that I think I would be better coming home. ;-) :-(

I will still get there to see you all though. :-D

it seems that life might be settling down ................. a little bit anyway!!


I haven't managed to read back. Could someone update me on anything I have missed that is very important??


Our friend whose husband died in April is coming to stay for 1 night on Tuesday ............ then there is nothing on the calendar until Sept 29, when daughter and grandson arrive for a week.

I MIGHT get time to spend on here!


In addition to all the other things that have been going on ............ like visitors, holidays, etc ................... I've been going to the doctor's every 2 or 3 weeks. They want to replace one of my bp pills with another one, and that has to be done gradually.


I'm also having problems sleeping .................... the docs are checking that one out as well!

I seem to have a very low grade bladder infection (cystitis), which keeps flaring up. I can drink lots of water and get it under control, but then it returns if I cut back on the water. Nothing obvious is showing ................ but it means I have frequent trips during the night. A right old nuisance that is!! It does make me very tired!

We had a big thunderstorm on Thursday night, just as I was getting ready for bed. The storm was pretty close to here ............. one clap and flash seemed almost overhead!

The rain poured down, and we had a stream rushing down the street outside!

I think something like 40 mm of rain fell from Thursday lunch to Friday lunch

Now the sun and warm temperatures are back.

Summer ends for all Canadians and Americans on Monday ............. that's Labour Day. The next day, all schools, unis, etc, open, and summer is "over".

Dea, I have absolutely no idea to be honest. I rarely shop in Liverpool and it's usually the cathedral where I park. I looked at the parking facilities in the centre and have decided to go by train....... Sorry dearest Dea.

Are there any car parks where you can book a space??? It may be worth another google.


It will be lovely to meet everyone but I feel sorry for those who aren't able to go and want them to know that we will be thinking about them. <3


Quite a good day today.......but, how is it, then when I have some vouchers to spend, I can't see anything I really like......and YET, when I don't have any, I always see lots of things i like. :-S :-S

Gosh, I am late in today but I could smell that lovely bacon and couldn't resist ;-) :-D :-D - Thank you Cynthia <3

My excuse is that I got up late anyway (I always seem to sleep late the morning after I have had my grandchildren over ;-) :-D) - Then I had to read the pm Linds sent me about Liverpool and I ended up on the 'Cavern' website getting directions and trying to find where we could park etc. nearby !

Such a shock :-| - I got up the direcctions map and put in my start place and destination and it said the length of the journey would be 10 hours 35 mins !!!!! :-0 :-0

I then realised it had calculated it for travelling by bicycle instead of in a car :-D :-D :-D and I can't even ride a bike ;-) :-D :-D

Re-done it now and it looks much better :-)

You're going to be shattered at this rate Linds.......but I'm really pleased about your MIL coming home with a full care package. That hospital stay was a blessing in disguise. :-)


The washer is on, the sun is shining.......off for a walk soon and then wait and see what the day holds.......

Have had a busy couple of days you know the kind where you don't seem to stop but also don't seem to get much done :-S

Got a new phone yesterday (so did OH) and have to go into jewellers tomorrow to pick a replacement pendant (I had an opal one which broke, repairer said gold was faulty and have been aske to go and choose another one)

Today we visited hospital and got told that they are letting MIL home on Thursday with a full care package in place :-)

We then went to visit F-I-L and tell him the good news then did food shop.

I told Oh we were going out to eat cos I was cream crackered.

So far we have 3 days with stuff booked next week :-(

Roll on Liverpool ;-)

Hope Sylvia gets a chance to put her feet up and check in with us <3

Sylvs has been around v.briefly on the dark side. She has been away and then had visitors so her time is precious at the moment. No doubt she will reappear when the last of the visitors have gone.... :-D

Not seen her around.....don't go on the dark side much, maybe the others know more?
