Poor Fred seems to spend a lot of time sinking down the boards these days - probably because we are all so busy doing something or other. :-(


I have been busy laminating for England as I passed pouch after pouch through the thing.......although it's slow work, the results are good. :-D


Just watching a programme on pets and their owners. The length some people go to with them in order to win prizes. Sheeeesh. There is even a party for a Yorkie and all the doggie guests are dressed up. :-0 :-S


So I will now go for a browse around although, I must admit, the boards have seemed very slow these last few days.

Arrrrggghhhh! Burnt me mouf on the porridge...........but it was very nice Dea.....thank you.. <3


A beautiful day so far, and when we go for our stroll, you can see how much the colours are changing. The leaves are tumbling from the trees at a great rate of knots and I am still popping the pods of the Himalayan Balsam plants. So very satisfying.... :-D :-D


Lunch at you-know-where, some shopping and then it's a case of getting to grips with the laminator I have borrowed from you-know-where. It's all in aid of the wedding fair which is looming ever closer. My late friend and I were working on it together and, now that he has gone, I have all the responsibility - one of the reasons I am only able to pop in and out of here occasionally.

Fortunately, I have a great team who are willing to help me but........this is where the buck stoppeth!! :-(

I was playing catch up on here last night and every time I tried to post the site crashed. I gave up :-|

Have had a busy few days. Monday we went to see Cats really enjoyed it.

Tuesday we babysat to allow our son and dil to go and see the show also treated them to a meal.

They needed a break as GD has been acting up getting up at bedtime and through the night.

I put her to bed and after reading to her etc she told me I could sleep in Mummy and Daddy's room. I hid just inside the doorway and a couple of minutes later her bedroom door opens.

I jumped out and said "what are you doing getting out of bed" boy did she get a fright started crying gave me a cuddle and went back to bed.

Lasted for about 15 mins than we could hear her making noises so Oh went to see what was wrong. she "needed" the toilet but was too scared to get out of bed :-D

Yesterday we had them for the day and today have done the food shop and washing.

Tomorrow will play catch up with housework :-(

Fred is NOT a hand puppet like Sooty and Sweep y'know Gins...... :-D :-D


Must have spent the best part of 3 hours in front of the desktop this afternoon but I have broken the back of the work I had to do.......thank goodness.


Had a lovely lunch with a friend which was a nice change and caught up with some gossip..... ;-)


Hoping to have a relaxing evening.....so let's wait and see......... :-D

Did you actually go into McD's Dea? We tend to use the drive-thru and, I have to admit, they are very speedy. If I had had time, I would have had an ice-cream as I think they are good value for money there. :-D


Arrrghhh....the phone just rang and my lickle heart skipped a beat.....surely not more bad news?? Nope. Just the gasman who doesn't need to come after all..... :-D :-D :-D


I wonder if Sylvs has made such a good reputation with her breakfast menus on here, that her fame has spread and people are popping in to sample them?? ;-)


Am going for a browse, a walk, an iron and a waiting in for a new door frame session!!

Thanks for the cuppa Ginns - I have done you some nice soft poached eggs.

All the ingredients for a Full English are cooking and there is plenty for anyone who wants to share.

Porridge is bubbling and lots of fresh fruit on the table.

I'm going to be at sixes and sevens for the next 10 days or so.

I have no idea when I will be able to get on here.

Sis-i-l arrives about 8 pm this evening, goes for her test tomorrow, then leaves on Friday morning

We then have to set the room up for daughter and grandson, whose plane arrives at 11:30 pm that evening

Other friends arrive at about 11:30 pm Saturday evening ............. so we have to set up the hide-a-bed in this room, where I have the computer.

They'll leave after lunch on Sunday

Daughter and grandson leave on Friday evening next week.
