Good morning all :-)
Thank you Cynths, I could smell that delicious bacon when I came in.
I was just about to put the kettle on but you beat me to it :-D
Glad OH eye problem is not too serious - you are right though, it is not much fun getting old ;-) :-(
Never mind, just think of the grandchildren - It makes it worthwile putting up with these things :-)
Pleased too that the news was not too bad for Sylvia's OH - Bad enough, but no worse than they had expected.
See you all later,
Dea Xxx

Good morning everyone.......... :-S :-D
First thing....kettle on!!
Next, some bacon barm cakes, crumpets, eggy bread and cereals.
I think that may keep the wolves from the door for a while!
Had an exciting evening (not). OH went to opticians as recommended by doc. Optician wanted him to go to eye hospital to have the problem checked. As our local hospital doesn't have eye cover at the weekend, it meant a trip to Manchester!!
Our son came to the rescue and boy, am I glad he did. Whilst I love driving, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to have faced the traffic diversions in central Manchester last night. I would probably have ended up in Plymouth!!!
We were attended to fairly quickly - probably because I mentioned the Parky's and the medication timetable - and he was told to go to local hospital on Monday!!! It was a slight bleed behind the eye - degenerative macular wotsit - relating to age!!
Tell you what, this growing old business is not exactly hilarious is it???? :-(
Gins? You ain't hit nuffink yet sweetpea!!!
Off for a very brief browse.....~~~

OH saw the doctor this morning .........
.......... yes, it was basal cell carcinoma. BUT we already knew that was the problem with the tips of his ears and also on both cheeks near his ears. So, nothing different.
All the doc said, was talk to the dermatologist when you next see him ........... which is next February!
Basal cell carcinoma is the least worrying of cancers .............. usually doesn't penetrate below the basal layer of the skin (hence the name). All skin areas just have to be watched carefully
I changed the dressing on my leg this morning ............ it looks OK, and I now just have an ordinary plaster on it.
We have heavy fog again today .................... yesterday it burnt off about noon, and we had 3 or 4 hours of sun before the fog came back in.
That is also supposed to happen today, but I'm not sure ............... it's almost 1 pm and no sign of it lifting.
The airport is still operating though
OH's sister was supposed to fly down to Vancouver this morning, then transfer almost immediately to a flight to Whitehorse ..........
.......... she is still stuck in her home town as they have heavy fog / low ceiling up there. She has been re-booked onto an evening flight to Whitehorse ............. if she can get to Vancouver!!
She phoned to ask if she could spend the afternoon with us ..................... but I'm beginning to wonder whether we should make up the bed in the study :-) :-) :-(
Her daughter says, just wait until "Mum" phones you from the airport for pick-up!

Hello everyone :-D
Another busy day had GD's and thought we would do the food shop with them.
Baby fell asleep so we took O in for a babchino she thinks she is so grown up (it's only hot milk with a sprinkling of chocolate )
By the time we finished shopping Mummy came and picked them up then we got the house back to rights and made dinner :-)
OH is out tonight so I plan to sit on my b*m and do nothing :-D :-D :-D :-D

Good morning.....ooops! I AM late today....... :-D
Thank you for the porridge Dea and yes, I think I can manage it thank you. Don't know why I have those over indulgent things....... ;-)
Love to Gins as she faces her injection today...... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
(She's only jealous that sleep doesn't do anything for HER looks!!) ;-)
Hope things settle down for Sylvs and Linds soon. This is life isn't it? All ups and downs. I find it always helpful to be thankful for the good times as it helps to strengthen you when things go wrong.... :-)
Had better get a move on methinks.......~~~~

Good morning all :-)
Well, lots of news for you all - some good and some bad........... Lots of <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 on their way for Sylvs, Linds and Ginns <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I don't think Cynths is in desperate need of any <3's at the moment, apart from feeling sick from over indulging and being cross-eyed and confuddled, she is O.K. I think. ;-) - I will put some porridge on for you in case you could manage a little bit:-D
Just lots of tea for Ginns - would you like a little toast with that?
Now, I will make a start on all the elements of a Full English for me and anyone else who cares to join me !
Bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, eggs, croquette potatoes.................... :-D :-D :-D
Nice to see Jonesey and Fans popping in. <3
See you all later,

OH got a phone call from our GP's office today re the biopsy results on his ear.
He has an appointment for 9:20 am tomorrow morning (Friday).
They only call if a result is positive :-( :-( :-(
I still have the dressing on my leg, but it seems to have stopped bleeding or weeping. I can change the dressing on tomorrow (Friday) afternoon

Have now got vision of a giant blunt needle being remotely controlled from the US, being aimed across land and sea and landing neatly in Gin's wrist! :-D
Took my friend out today and had a warm waffle covered in ice cream and caramel syrup.....lovely but a touch sickly!! ;-)
Have been over on the other side, chatting to about 4 people at once....am now cross-eyed and confuddled! More than usual!
Time for beauty sleep ........night everyone........zzzzzzzzzzzz

Gins,
A big girl like you should not be frightened of a little prick. ;-)
It is only in your wrist and you probably won't even feel it..
