Just popping in to keep poor Fred on the move.

Oh has been into town to get Panto tickets.

Hopefully we will get some more photo's sorted through today as I would like to give the boys a "This is Your Life" album at Christmas.

Oh boy oh boy it is galloping towards us isn't it ? (Christmas)

We will be in Berlin in just under 2 weeks then when we get back it is GD's 3rd birthday, then MIL's 86th then Christmas.

I must start getting some of the shopping done if only they would all give me some hints.

We are hosting the Christmas meal this year so far it is six of us BUT ......

Cyn ........ do hope your neighbour will be OK

Yes, a very interesting situation.

But we do have other women bishops in Canada already, so we won't be leading the way!

Interestingly, only 1 candidate (a man) has apparently stated that he is against blessing of gay couples in church.

and only 2 are from outside Canada ........... a woman form Seattle, and a man from New Zealand

Thanks Sylvs....yes, it was a dreadful shock for the family, however, such is life .....

This afternoon my daughter noticed an ambulance outside and it seems our neighbour has been taken into hospital. Nice chap he is. My word, it never rains but it pours sometimes!!!

An interesting episcopal situation indeed.....we haven't quite got to the stage of women bishops yet..... :-D

It's been a long day so I am off to bed....night night....

Interesting possible situation here .......

the Anglican Bishop retired a couple of months ago.

there are 8 candidates for the position ......... voting to be done by diocese members at a Synod on November 30th

there are 4 women and 4 men .............................

......... and 3 of the women are being tipped as front-runners by several "people in the know"

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It must have been a terrific shock for you all

we got back late Saturday afternoon ............

....... it's amazing how tiring a 2 hour ferry ride, with a 20-30 minute drive on each side, can make seem :-S

We did nothing but eat lunch, move to the deluxe comfortable coffee "shop" at the stern of the boat, go to the on-board shop (and spend money :-D ), knit and read! But we were both very tired when we got home!

We had a good time ........... stayed with the friend whose husband died in May, but she invited the other friends for lunch or dinner, so we saw them all..

The weather was OK to good.

OH accompanied our friend on her morning walk each day, which made a change for her.

She really has adapted very well ........... misses her husband terribly of course, but is making determined efforts to get out and DO things. Not only has she continued to go to events, but she has even joined another committee of an organisation that interests her (music for children).

Good morning all :-)

Thank you for doing breakfast Cynthia - I will have a large cup of tea, a bacon buttie and one of those black crunchy sausages............ delicious <3 <3

That is the way my hubby always cooks his sausages and they taste nice too - I think it is the fact that they have been cooked for you by someone else ;-) :-D
