I was about to order a knitting pattern for tiddlers BUT the cost of postage was only about 30p cheaper than the pattern.

I think I will wait and get it in a shop :-)

A long day but everything went well. Granddaughter read at the service and was excellent. Very proud of her.

Dea, sorry, I am with you now. You mean a sofa bed. Lots of styles available - and prices!!!

Just watching a documentary on channel 5 re Treblinka - Hitler's hidden concentration camp. Absolutely dreadful. Unspeakable events. Unimaginable horrors :-(

Off to bed now.......~~~

Thank you for all your love xxxx

we're slowly coming to terms with it. We'll do what she wants.

My daughter phoned this morning ......... she wants to see if she can arrange a "long weekend" trip over to see her aunt. That depends more on sis-i-l than on getting plane tickets.

This time, she'll leave the kidwink with his father.

A VERY rude awakening this morning

The motion sensor went off at 4:30am

I was at the bedroom door before I even opened my eyes :-D

Turned out that OH had heard the smoke alarm go off in the basement .............. through 2 closed doors, 1 room and the enclosed stair well. So he had got up without waking me, and gone to investigate.

However, he had forgotten to turn off the motion sensor, so he put one foot on the little landing at the turn of the stairs and .......................

Neither of us went back to sleep after that ................. he had set his alarm for 6 am 'cos he had to be out of the house by 7 am, and we were so worried that we wouldn't hear the alarm!

Take care everyone

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 27 Nov 2013 08:43

Sorry Dea....just remembered your query about the bed etc.

We got an adjustable bed for OH.....and also an electric recliner. He has gone off the bed simply because he struggles to get out of it.

The electric recliner is downstairs and it's okay but a bit on the big side (we didn't send it back by the way - maybe we should have done).

At the moment, he is sleeping quite comfortably in the manual recliner in his bedroom.

I have a feeling that some of his probs maybe .....because....he is......a man!! ;-)

There are so many recliners/adjustable beds on the market Dea, that it would be worth shopping around. Maybe you have a mobility shop in your area - they are usually well informed about such things.

Happy hunting!
