Gins

it allows them to see how healthy are the blood vessels in the retina and below it.

I have been diagnosed with myopic macular degeneration, and the doc wants to know exactly what is going on

They inject a yellow dye in my arm, that's the fluoroscein, then they track it with a digital camera as the dye moves through the vessels in the eye.

Meanwhile ............. my skin might turn yellow for 36 hours or so, and my "p" will be dark yellow orange

and my eyes might be yellowish

Charming vision, eh?

Off to see the dermatologist now :-(

Gee

Gee Report 18 Dec 2013 21:50

What the heck are they looking for...have heard of a 'fluorescein angiography'....don't know it means?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 18 Dec 2013 19:58

I saw the eye specialist on Monday morning ........ I have to have another test done in January ............ fluoroscein angiography

I saw the dentist on Monday afternoon ................... no problems, so just came home with clean white sparkling teeth.

This afternoon (in about 3 hours), I go to the dermatologist to have the squamous cancer removed from my leg.

Then it will be time to think about Christmas!

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 18 Dec 2013 19:55

sorry I haven't been around much

I decided to tidy up some of the siblings of my immediate ancestors ......... who did they marry, die, etc

so I've been immersed in parish records from the 17th to 19th centuries.

Why is that so many of both of our ancestors had relatively uncommon names ............ except in the area in which they actually lived?

Why is it they had to recycle the same limited number of forenames?

Why is it I can find the baptism of William with parents John and Susanna in both 1704 AND 1705, in the same church, with birth date given for both ........... and Susanna's maiden name is given in both records. BUT I cannot find the death of William #1?

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Linda Report 18 Dec 2013 17:13

My feet hurt too Dea :-(

We only have a couple of presents still to get and might get them online.

I found a lovely Jasper Conran anorak type jacket for youngest GD and the notice above it said "up to half price"

OH didn't believe me so took it to desk where they said it was full price!

I took it and said should be reduced. They got the supervisor who offered me 10% as sign said "up to half price" but this wasn't included?

I said that the sign indicated it was reduced and 10% wasn't enough!

She then went and spoke to her Manager and guess what?

I got it for half price then took out a store card and got another 10% off all my purchases :-D :-D :-D :-D

One happy bunny. Oh and they took the sign down ;-) ;-)

As my Mum used to say "if you don't ask you don't get" ;-)
