Morning all,

Just popped in to say hello while OH is picking up No 1 GD from nursery.

On Monday they phoned her Nan (DIL's mum) to come and pick her up as she was upset. She was cold cos their heating was broken!!

The building must have been freezing after a 2 week break they should have closed it.

Yesterday and today she was teary and clingy but must have settled as we didn't get a call :-(

Off to make lunch no babystitting till Friday :-D

OH is coughing his head off so waiting for a doctor's appointment....sigh......


Hopefully, he is taking me out to lunch today AND on Friday........he seems to think I deserve it .... . :-D :-D :-D :-D


Meanwhile, I will tidy and dust the bedrooms.......... ;-)

O.K. then - panic over................ I have brought the bacon butties and some fresh croissants and danish pastries for anyone that doesn't want bacon. :-D

great news :-D <3

Sylvia thinking of you all and glad that S-I-L got her wish to be at home with her family around her.

OH came back yesterday from 4 days helping with his sister. Now it is just a matter of waiting for the end.

She is being kept comfortable, and pain-free. She requested to die in her own home, and the local hospice is helping with her care. It sounds as if it is all superb!

Well, I am back and all is well !

5 hour driving through atrocious weather - so much rain and spray that you could not see more than a yard or two in fromt of you for most of that time !! Turned over lorries causing delays amd tailbacks (thankfully most of them on the other side of the carriageway) - I hope that no-one was seriously injured ! Thank goodness hubby was doing the driving, not me!

SOO tired but no sign of any return of the dreaded 'nasty' and so my Prof says that I will see him in July and then again next January and if all is well I will just see him once a year after that.

I will continue with 3-monthly tests and scans and 'other proceedures with my surgeon at the local hospital for several years but if I am still 'clear' in January next year I have a good chance that it will not return..... Fingers crossed. ;-) :-D :-D

Linds, give me rain and gales anytime over snow.......I really, really, really hope we don't get any snow this year. My cousin in Canada has been saying about the cold and I've never known her complain about it before so it MUST be bad. :-(


We've started the clearout of the garage and will be taking some stuff to the dump this morning. Actually, our garage isn't that full at all, but it's still amazing how much stuff is unnecessary!

Have done extra for anyone else and added bacon to some for those that want it.

I am off to Clatterbridge for the day so that's why I am up at 'silly o'clock' this morning :-(

Just watching the news about the weather in the U.S.A :-(

Think I would rather have the wind and rain ;-)

My son managed to get the roof lights down today that is the very last of the Christmas stuff packed away :-)

Playing catch up with the washing which means will have to play catch up with the ironing :-(

We have the GD's on Tuesday and Wednesday as our son got his day off mixed up and the other gran has taken on an extra shift at work (nightshift tonight) so she can't take them tomorrow as she usually does.

Boy will I sleep on Wednesday night ;-)

It's very overcast here but nothing compared to what some poor folk are going through. My word, the rain .... the rain.....the rain......it seems unceasing.


Monday is my pootling around in the morning day followed by my ironing afternoon......can't wait as I have a new James Patterson thriller to listen to.....yayyyyy! :-D :-D :-D


Now, to think about tidying the garage. Do I. Or don't I ??? :-S
