OOhh Cynthia - you had me worried there :-0 I had to re-read my last message thinking I had made a 'naughty' typo in there somewhere, then I realised what you meant ;-) :-D

Typo's have always worried me since I first starting typing many years ago. I would often touch on the key to the side of the one I meant to type and I lost count of the number of letters I would type with 'Yours faithfully' at the end where I had typed in a double 'k' instead of a double 'l' !!! :-0 :-0

Thankfully I always checked through them and so never sent any out (at least I hope I didn't ;-) ) :-D :-D

It did mean a lot of re-typing or tipexing though as it was the 'old typewriter' in those days :-(

Good morning all! :-D

DEA! Such naughty words first thing in the morning! You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Tuts and double tuts!

Fried Bread - simply scrumptious :-D

Gins, either get your eyes tested or get a spill-proof cup! Obviously old age is settling in good and proper!

Bedroom cleaning today, but that doesn't take long and off to a local mill for a wander round. I will be making my way to the curtain department as I have been looking for new curtains for about 3 years....... :-(

Mind you, haven't mentioned that to himself yet!!! ;-)

Hopefully a reasonably relaxed day.........

Jonesey? Have you warmed up yet? :-D

Dea

Dea Report 22 Jan 2014 08:21

Sausages, bacon, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread....................

Porridge is bubbling away on the hob.

Fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals etc. on the side.

Help yourselves everyone.

As I woke yesterday morning, I reached for a glass of water and knocked the entire contents down the back of my bedside drawers......

..............last night, sat at the pc, I reached for a drink of water and knocked the entire contents down over the desk

What's that about!

Kettle is on, muffins and crumpets in the oven

Good idea about the sandwich Dea <3

I did take some of the peanut ones to Liverpool with me and had yours in my handbag then forgot to give you them.

Oh I have been up since silly o'clock starting my prep for tomorrow. I can't look at all that lovely breakfast :-(

Jonesey hope all goes to plan with the boiler. They do always seem to pack up in the winter don't they. Ours died in the middle of that really bad winter a few years ago.

It was over 5 days before we got it replaced they tried to repair it twice then had to get the replacement.

It was so cold you could see your breath on the air we had to go and buy electric heaters. Hope yours is back on soon :-D

Dea

Dea Report 21 Jan 2014 08:42

Poor Jonesey - you had better find all those hot water bottles <3 <3

Thanks Cynths,

Well, it's certainly not 'spring-like' here - there has been another VERY hard overnight frost and everyhere is white :-(

Have filled the warmers with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, fried bread, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans and the porridge is on the hob ;-)

Plenty of toast, fresh fruits, cereals etc on the side.

Help yourselves........

About to get colder where I live.

After many years loyal service my old central heating boiler has had a nervous breakdown and is being replaced. The fitter is due in the next few minutes to start the job which he predicts will take 2 days so no heating or hot water for the next couple of days. Think of me sitting at the keyboard swathed in blankets. :-(

Why don't boilers have the good grace to pack up in the summer rather than in the winter? Ours has not got an excuse as it is on throughout the year heating the house in winter and the swimming pool in the summer. Bad show I say.
