I have just been listening to part two of a radio series from 1934 !!! - Secret Agent X-9.

I have to say that, although it wasn't brilliant, it was far more entertaining than many of the things which are on radio and TV nowadays.

That is a sad reflection of our times :-(

Yes Cynths - I think after all these years you start to think that your luck must change - poor little car MUST come to an end eventually BUT it keeps going and SO well !!

I do hope that you will do well with your health trainer tomorrow - I will keep my fingers crossed <3 Although, after all those fig rolls AND the McD's today, I think that I must try to cross my toes as well ;-) :-D :-D

Evenin' all!

Glad your little car made it through Dea....I remember how pleased you were last year! :-D

Ours is due for it's annual service in March.....it's an 8? year old Toyota Yaris. Got a feeling it won't last as well as Dea's has.

Picked up grandson from school today and we went to McD's where I had something to eat too. I was cooking lamb for OH and son so, as I am not a lamb lover, I thought I would have chicken nuggety things!!!! :-D

Thing is, I am due to see my health trainer tomorrow!! hahahahahaa.....she will love me.....not :-(

Having been so busy this afternoon, I am now going for a browse........~~~

I thinmk mine is 'Polar White' also Ginns but they didn't call it that when they painted mine ;-) :-D

I think that probably makes it a 'Classic Car' Jonesey ??? ;-) :-D

When I had to buy a new battery for it last year I thought the battery was probably worth more than the car but perhaps if I keep it for much longer the car might come to be worth more than the battery :-D :-D

Jonesey Report 28 Jan 2014 16:41

Dea,
.
Your car is one of only 68 of that model still licensed for use on the road in the UK. There are also 26 retained on SORN.

Dea

Dea Report 28 Jan 2014 15:53

You picked a gud un back then Dea

Remind me, what make and model is it?

Dea

Dea Report 28 Jan 2014 15:21

Well, my lovely 26 year old car has just 'sailed through' it's latest MOT so that's £25 well spent for another year of happy motoring.......... :-D :-D

Grand-children will be pleased as they would be devastated if I had to get rid of it (and so would I ;-) ). - Grand-daughter, when she was smaller, used to chant 'grannies car sounds like a motorbike' whenever she was in it and, because it sounds a little 'throaty' grandson is convinced that it goes faster than anyone elses ;-), just like a sports car :-D :-D. They both love it.

Hope you are all having a good day too.

Good morning all and thanks for the breakfast Gins... :-D

Haven't those Chinese lanterns been banned in some places? I've heard reports of them causing damage to property and livestock.......did I dream it? :-S

OH is off for a haircut this morning - that gives me time for a quick wander around town on my own. Notalot but it's something I rarely get.......alone time. Not complaining...just saying. :-D

See you later...~~~

Yes Gin,

One was responsible for a fire which destroyed a paper/cardboard recycling facility. The lantern descending on to the site was caught on camera by the sites security CCTV system.

Gee

Gee Report 27 Jan 2014 16:25

You were unlucky to get hacked Linds :-(

Didn't one of those Chinese lanterns cause a fire a few months ago?
