Cheeky OH!

Mind you a change in routine is a bit odd..........JB should be back at work tomorrow, back to our routine!

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 11 Feb 2014 18:56

I'm still very tired ..........................

I was in bed before 9:30 pm again last night ...............

OH keeps asking when I am going to get back to "normal", and go to bed after midnight!

he says that gives him a chance to fall asleep before I get into bed, otherwise I keep him awake by changing position, breathing, etc etc :-0

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 11 Feb 2014 18:55

aw, Linda .................

I'm sorry ot hear that patients on the ward have developed the bug. That's not nice.

Not sure what happens over there, or how large the ward is ...................... but wards over here are often closed for a week or more when the "bug" arrives.

Do hope he gets his tests done soon

If its not one thing its your mother ;-)

Hope the bug clear soon Linds

Your rads, 40 years old.............didn't know they made them back then. They do some lovely vertical ones now, I quite fancy those in the sitting room BUT..........you cant dry your washing on them in the winter!

Bad weather cleared quite quickly so no white stuff :-)

Linda

Linda Report 11 Feb 2014 17:05

The white stuff has arrived here also mixed with hailstones and more is forecast and it is freezing :-(

the patient is improving but a bug (Sylvia has shared hers ) has made them close the ward and restrict visitors to 2 per bed.

They were going to do more tests yesterday but cannot move any patients out of the ward till bug clears up.

Hoping to do another lumbar puncture today and get the MRI done tomorrow. L is visiting him just now so will find out more when she comes home.

Gins great news about the windows. I am waiting on someone coming out to look at the living room radiators as they are not heating properly we have done all the usual stuff made no difference.

Think they might need replace but they are about 40 years old :-D

It's 'proper ' snow now !

The roof tops and the ground have been completely covered, everything is white and it's only been falling for less than 5 minutes - HUGE flakes and lots of them :-(

Don't like it !

Dea Report 11 Feb 2014 10:59

OOOerr - we now have what is described as 'icy rain' :-( :-(

It's a bit like hail stone but softer and very wet. - Fluffy bits' in there as well now and the wind is driving it across the windows. :-(

I wish I could hibernate until Spring arrives.

More like 'Global Drowning and Freezing' I think Jonesey !!

I suppose that if your rain is white and fluffy now, they mine will be within the next half hour or so :-( :-( :-(

Jonesey Report 11 Feb 2014 10:19

If it is of any consolation Gin, our rain has also turned white and fluffy in the last 10 minutes. Global warming? :-S

Dea

Dea Report 11 Feb 2014 10:16

I know you did Ginns but I didn't say anything 'coz I knew it wasn't intentional ;-) :-D :-D

We are expecting snow here too :-( :-( :-(

Ooops........sorry Dea, I thanks Cyns for breakfast!

Well, rain has turned to snow, checked the weather and they say it's going to be sunny here today!

It sure don't look sunny out the back of my French doors :-(

Dea

Dea Report 11 Feb 2014 09:14

Hope you enjoyed your afternoon coffee Sylvia - glad you are feeling a bit better <3

Cynths - How many more of those nasty injections does your poor OH have to have? - Is it a course of treatment or is it a 'for ever' thing?

Hope everyone has a good day <3

I will try to arrange for someone to come and fit a new door later today after Cynthia's 'handy footwork' ;-) :-D :-D

See you all later,

Dea Xxx

Cynthia Report 11 Feb 2014 09:04

Morning everyone :-)

Dea, I just couldn't get in....I was knocking and knocking on the door of this site and no-one answered. :-(

So I did what you have to do sometimes......I kicked the door in!!! ;-)

Thank you for breakfast - well worth waiting for.

The weather is simply atrocious........we are never prepared for anything weatherwise in this country are we?

What's the betting that we will be told there is a drought during the Summer???

OH was very good yesterday and is taking his injections like a man !!!! We had forgotten his 10.15 meds so I had to come home and get them for him....sigh.

Off out for a little while and then lunch with a friend. After that, I'm picking up the grandchildren and son is coming for his tea. Tis all go!!

Glad to hear that our Sylvs has rejoined the human race..........wish the rest had!!

Gee

Gee Report 11 Feb 2014 09:03

Dea

Dea Report 11 Feb 2014 08:53

I bring toasted cheese sandwiches, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and fried bread.

Poached Eggs on crumpets for our Ginns and some porridge is bubbling away for Cynths. ........................

Pllenty of toast, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruits, danish pastries and croissants.

Where is everyone ???

Ey Up

The ice on my car was about 1inch deep this morning, the ice scraper couldn't move it and I had to wait until the heater had done its job :-0

Coming home from work, it was 7.5c, bright and sunny......weird weather

It's about time the government/environment agency got this flooding issue sorted

Those poor people down south

SylviaInCanada Report 10 Feb 2014 17:43

Linda .................

that's very good news xxxx

I think I have re-joined the human race :-)

I might even consider going out for afternoon coffee :-)

Today is a Stat Holiday in this province ........................ Family Day

Most other provinces have the holiday on Monday next week.

Not sure why we had to be different! We are johnny-come-lately ............... only been celebrating it since last year.

Really ............ it's just a day's holiday between New Year and Easter, where we previously had nothing for 3-4 long months. :-D
