You know what...

The consultant that I first had in August, said he hadn't known psoriasis, affected nails and tummy buttons

This one today knew, took one look at both and said 'Yes, that's psoriasis'

It depends who you get as to the treatment!

Got to the hospital 30 mins early, saw me straight away and was on my way home 5 minutes after my original appointment!

Srummy consultant, about my age too............answered a lot of questions, had a sense of humour and gave me another 'slush' jab into the wrist

No pain.............yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Called at Sainsbury's local on my way home and was served by the prettiest, happiest assistant I have ever met

It's the little things that cheer you up :-D

Thanks for the info Cyns, I'll have to go back and look further. I would have thought they would have a headstone as they were pretty well off

Poor O has had that ear problem for too long now. Could it be a build up of wax that is causing her pain? Hows her hearing?

Mind you..............the size of your mouth, she'd have to be stone deaf not to hear you ;-)

Good morning all :-D

Okay, I will rush over and put the kettle one.

Then I will hurry and get some bacon and eggs going.

Next, I will quickly get some crumpets under the grill.

Hopefully, if I am speedy enough, I will get the croissants and eggy bread ready. :-D

Gins....which bit don't you get?

I am only talking about churchyards, not municipal cemetaries.

Not all churchyards are of a regular shape - some are very irregular due to all sorts of reasons......buildings, lie of the land, permission to inter etc.

Each incumbent, with the assent of the PCC will have had his own method of how and where new interments go. For instance, if there is a family grave which is full, later members of that family will have to be buried elsewhere - usually in the newest part.

With an older churchyard, you will often find that the Lord of the Manor or whoever, is buried near to the church itself, whilst his retainers are moved further away.

As space becomes limited, either the churchyard is closed to new burials or a new piece of land is used - after consecration by the bishop.

Ooooh....I do find all of this fascinating but I can witter for England...... :-D :-D :-D

Sylvs....I hadn't heard that info but lying flat does work for me and it seems to be working for OH too......not too bad at all this morning.......here's hoping to an improvement :-D

Hope our granddaughter is okay Linds.....we grandmothers do know best sometimes don't we.... ;-)

Hello everyone,

Forgot to visit yesterday.

Had the girls today and poor O was screaming saying her ear was sore temp spiking, fell asleep on sofa and woke up sobbing.

gave her paracetamol and she fell back asleep for almost an hour.

Sent Mummy a text and told her to phone and speak to Dr she did and got an appointment.

the Dr said they couldn't see into her ear due to a piece of wax they gave her antibiotics and also want a urine sample to see if anything is underlying, couldn't say what it might be.

Poor wee soul has been through the mill I blo**y told them last week she needed something :-|

Might not get back till after London got lots to do tomorrow as couldn't get moving today.

Cyns

some of the most recent research on bad backs is not to lie in bed for too long.

Have you tried applying heat to OH's back ........ either a hot water bottle or a microwaveable heat pack?

I find my rice grain bag works wonders.

Gee Report 18 Feb 2014 20:36

Interesting Cyns....re grave yards

Still don't get it!

Having babies pierced ....hmm?

It should be the individual persons choice, not a fashion statement

Babies are cute enough...no need for accessories

It may just be a phase she is going through Dea. It could be that, when the novelty wears off, the holes will close over naturally and all will be back to normal... :-D

I'm not a big ear ring fan myself and never wear them because I don't particularly suit them.

OH started off okay but got worse during the morning - lots of groaning and moaning but he doesn't seem too bad now. I am worn out what with heaving him to his feet and running up and down stairs when he is laying flat on the bed (at my insistence), to try and ease the back pain.

Never mind, it could be a lot worse and, hopefully, the crisis will pass... :-)

Gins, many years ago, I mapped out a churchyard because the plans had gone missing. It took me several weeks of ploughing around inbetween headstones etc. and then typing it up (on an old manual typewriter) so that it could be understood.

I found that some of the confusion was caused by the fact that, as each new incumbent came along, he had his own way of sorting out the churchyard and much depended on how much land was available etc. Also, as most headstones face East, the shape of the yard came into consideration too.

This particular churchyard sprawled out towards a long established pond and some of the graves were waterlogged. It was a bit like burial at sea and I remember someone having their late wife's remain exhumed and re-buried in a drier spot.

Anyway, got my bathroom walls cleaned today quite easily as it happens, so that made me a happy bunny! :-D

I wasn't allowed my ears to be pierced, so my beautiful big sister took me anyway....1980

Too late mom!
