Got home from work today and there were two pairs of shoes in the porch!

Next, son and girlfriend come downstairs..........they had dropped her car off near to me after work for the MOT (7am finish) and decided to come here for a kip

They never 'really' leave home

Good morning all :-)

Sorry to hear about your friend Sylvia <3

My DIL's father suffered the same thing almost 2 years ago now. It was very unexpected as he was, up until then, a fit 'strapping' person with no sign of illness then it suddenly happened while he and his wife were out shopping.
He was only 65 at the time.

Fortunately they managed to save his life but he was unconcious for several weeks and was in and out of hospital after that and was extremely ill for a long time and both he and his family went through a lot of suffering.

He is just now starting to show signs of his 'old self' but still has many lingering health problems to contend with.

Hopefully your friend will not have suffered as an aortic dissection happens very suddenly and there is not usually much time for the person involved to realise what is happening.

May she rest in peace....

My best wishes to you and all her friends and family <3

Dea Xxx

P.S. - I am sure that 2014 can only get better for you - Try to think positive, even though I know it is very hard for you at the moment.

I heard this monring ...................

one of our best friends, of the Island group that we visit .................. died very suddenly last night.

She's 78 or 79, had a "seizure" on Sunday morning, which turned our to be "an aortic dissection".

But she had been very healthy! This came out of the blue, for all of us :-(

I'm beginning to hate 2014!

Morning all......and thank you for the eggs and soldiers Gins......took me right back to childhood!! :-D

Okay.....what was that noise at 2.45am?? It sounded like a tractor dragging a trailer without wheels, up the road at a very slow pace!

Was it the boiler? Nope.

Was it a burglar? Nope.

Whatever it was, it woke me up good and proper! :-|

Naturally, OH didn't hear a thing.........grrrrrrrr

Ah well, off to dust round the bedrooms......... :-D

Good morning all :-)

Poor little O - It is good that they have now referred her to ENT, she needs to be properly 'looked at' to find out exactly what is going on !!

Boiled eggs and toast soldiers are just about done and there are bacon butties for anyone who wants them :-D

See you all later,

Dea Xxx

Gins I just re read my post and had a laugh!

Not that kind of F. It is sons partners initial he says are we going to F****'s and star runs to the door :-D

DIL took O to the Dr's this afternoon they checked her over said ear is still slightly inflamed and she has one tonsil larger than the other but that seemingly isn't unusual.

Oh and that it was "probably" her ear drum that burst when all the puss came out her ear :-|

They have at last referred her to the ENT at the children's hospital and not before time :-P
