Evening all..................

Pre op seems to have gone okay and the op is on Friday. They were running late which delayed us getting back, so it was a good job I had the foresight to take some bacon and some barm cakes with me to son's house. OH had stayed with grandson whilst I was son sitting!!! I soon had them all fed and watered.. :-D

Lots of family tree work this afternoon and had my dripping tap sorted this evening. What you might call a mixed day!!!

Glad you have got your windows sorted Gins....sounds good!

Still no Jonesey...... :-(

Bed soon....night night......

Just got caught up on here.

OH has kindly shared his cold with me :-(

Cynthia hope all went well for your son today.

Gins glad you are pleased with your windows hope they finish tomorrow.

Dea we didn't bake today as I felt so bad promised we would tomorrow but wont have to do a birthday cake as his partner got him one of those photo cakes.

Have to do the food shop tomorrow might just send OH :-D

Sylvia hope all went ok at the Notary's today.

Gee Report 26 Mar 2014 19:12

Did the pre op thingy go OK?

Today was a MASSIVE job on the bay window and the bi folds at the back. It took eight men (some luscious!) to carry it through to the back

Barry, said he had never fitted so many units into a bay before...'It's huge'

At one point (for about four hours) we had no front or back, all propped and gaping to the elements

They have done a fantastic job......almost all (except for the supporting bits) of the back of the sitting room opens up, to the garden

Money well spent.............

Good morning all... :-D

Oh Dea! You are SUCH a messy eater....just look at the state of you.......dear oh dear. :-S ;-) :-D

Thank you Gins - I will be extra careful because I don't want to get butter on my black top. I am taking son for his pre-op thingey and would like to look fairly decent!!! :-D

Not sure what I have planned for later but I will presumably be doing something.......hopefully putting some more info on my tree. I have a tree on here, one on Ancestry and one on FTM - I just don't keep them all up to date. Maybe it's time to do that!!

Have a good day - ~~~

Good morning all :-)

Buddy site !!!! - Just typed a whole long message and then lost it !!! :-0 :-| :-|

I will start again !

Ginns - thank you for the toasted teacakes, they are delicious but it is a good job I am not dressed yet 'coz all that lovely butter keeps running down my front ;-) :-D :-D

Sylvs - I see you got the 48,800 - well done and I hope all goes well tomorrow <3

Cynths, the teachers at my grandchildrens' school have decided 'not to strike on this occasion' so they are unaffected today :-D

It is a lovely school. Grandaughter went on a school trip to the Theatre last week to see a performance of 'Taming of the Shrew' and she loved it !

It was in the evening and they were not expected to be back until around 10.30pm (She is only 9...) :-0. Mummy said she could go as it was on a Friday and there was no school the next morning and Teacher had told them that they could go to sleep on the coach on the way home ;-) :-D :-D

I expect the Teachers had a very quiet journey back :-D :-D

It is probably a good idea to go into work Ginns, at least you will be warmer there.

Hope everyone has a lovely day,

See you all later,

Dea Xxx

P.S. - I hope you manage to get that cake done today Linds with all those extra little hands to help you ;-) :-D <3

Hi all
xx

a rainy day here.

OH had to take the car in to the garage for work to be done this morning ................... it'll take at least 2 days, and the bill will be around $2,000 (or a bit less than £1,000), but it has to be done, so "bite the bullet" :-(

Gins .............. we had to have a whole outside wall replaced on the cabin because the wood was rotting.

We had it done in July ............................. it was the wall to the bedroom and to the kitchen. Neither had doors between them and the main room.

It was fantastic to see how the guys worked on removing the whole wall, and then re-building it.

It's quite easy when you have a wood building. :-D

Problem was ........... it was bloomin' cold, even though it was July!

I think it was about 6 or 7C, and pouring with rain.

I sat hunched over the wood stove in the main room, and OH kept me well supplied with logs to burn :-)

The closure on the sale of the cabin is this Thursday :-) We have to go and sign some more papers at the Notary later today.

OH has to have another colonoscopy done in 3 months time ................... he's just made the appointment for July 3

take care everyone

Well, all the upstairs windows are in and they managed to get the kitchen one in too............they look fantastic, pale cream wood grain effect, which fits perfectly with the rendering

I can't believe how quickly they worked, there was only two of them.

They are back in the morning to address the huge bay, which stretches right across the front of the house

Gee

Gee Report 25 Mar 2014 11:30

It's buddy cold in here today, the only way to get warm is to shut the doors and sit in front of the fire

Dea, they have done a few of the windows upstairs but they are going to be here until Thursday as downstairs is a big job

Same damp weather here Cyns........it's not walking weather, that's for sure!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 25 Mar 2014 08:48

Good morning and thank you for breakfast.... :-D

It's a bit damp this morning so not quite sure where we will get our morning exercise. Maybe it's time to do some purse string excercises ;-)

Dea, I am worried about Jonesey too. I have his email address but there has been no response to a recent message. :-(

Off for a quick browse and then a tidy up before a decision is made....... :-D
