He was a wonderful man and made us all laugh, think and imagine

RIP my friend, Davey Jones

I really could not have put it any better Cynthia - you have expressed exactly what we all feel at the sad loss of 'our Jonesey'

We WILL miss him but we will also remember him with very great affection.

Bye bye Jonesey - Thank you for the time you spent with us, the stories you told, the advice you gave and the laughter you brought out of us. Those are things we will treasure in our memories for ever.

R.I.P. Jonesey, <3

I guess you have all heard the sad news by now.

We are a thread in mourning over the death of our beloved Jonesey :-(

His wit, humour and commonsense will be so sadly missed by those of us who have known and communicated with him over several years.

Some of us were privileged to have 'off-site' conversations with him and have shared experiences and humour which will long be remembered.

He wouldn't have wanted us to say anything 'twee' or 'soppy' about him, but it is hard not to be slightly sentimental at times like this.

We will miss him greatly here on Fred and I know just how much he enjoyed the banter and the teasing. His wife wanted me to thank everyone on here for their friendship to him - it kept him going through the last days of his illness.

We will all miss you so much Mr Jones and we would like to thank YOU for all the friendship and fun that you have shared on here.

God Bless you Jonesey <3

Cynthia hope all goes ok for your son today <3

Gins it was a week ago that I did the food shop. Didn't get it done yesterday as we had the girls till tea time and didn't have the energy when they left ;-)

Also it was sons birthday. L got him one of those photo cakes it was so funny!

None of us felt like going out (we all have the cold now) so L was ordering a Chinese takeaway.

She uses the number stored in her mobile gives them the address and they ask "don't know that address where is it?"

So she says "you don't know the address, you deliver here all the time"

They both start to give directions (cheekily cos we use them all the time) they give them the name of the road that the takeaway is on say come out the door turn left then left at mini roundabout then right and you are in the street.

The lady says "never heard of that road (the one they are on)

Then the penny drops L had phoned the Chinese takeaway that she uses at her Mums! It isn't remotely near us!!

She apologised but it made our night couldn't stop laughing.

She did then place the order at our local one! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Sylvia glad all has gone to plan re the cabin <3

Good morning all :-)

Hello Sylvia - How lovely to see you and I am SO excited to see that you managed to prepare us one of your lovely breakfasts this morning. It has been SO long since we have enjoyed such a treat <3

I am going to start with a cheese and onion tart with some bacon, sausage patties, grilled mushrooms and baked tomatoes.

Then I will have a couple of those Caribbean Banana Fritters drizzled with syrup.

I don't think I will have room for any more but if you keep the warmers on I will be back later for a little portion of Huevos Rancheros and a Portobello Mushroom Cap with cheese and spinach for my brunch ;-) :-D :-D

I hope they fix your car soon - I bet that mechanic was in trouble :-0 :-(

Hope all goes well with your son today Cynthia.

See you all later,

Hi all

another wet day here :-(

................ and of course, that also means wet at the site of the mudslide in Washington State. They're really having major problems working there .................. it's like being in quicksand

I'm looking forward to going to my physio on Tuesday ............ he rarely hurts me now, and I usually feel much better after he's worked on my back. I'm hoping he'll work the same magic on my knee .............. which is slowly getting better :-)

The Notary phoned this afternoon .................. the down payment for the property is now in our bank account. Then he phoned back later to say he had forgotten to deduct his expenses, so we have to pay him next week :-)

We had a recall on our car the other week ....................... the dealer fixed that, but said they had spotted a leak in the oil system and the gasket needed replacing ................. a 4 day job, so they said.

OH took the car to our own mechanic on Tuesday for them to do the work ........... they said 2 days, possibly even by lunchtime on Wednesday.

They still have it! They hope it will be ready by lunchtime tomorrow (Friday)

...................... it seems one of the mechanics was carrying the gasket over to the car to put it in when he dropped it, then proceeded to step on it o:O

so they had to order in another one :-)

take care everyone
