Oh missed breakfast but just had some of that lovely pie for lunch :-)
The problem with O's ear is that they cannot see anything from the wax.
They do not syringe it out now :-S
My oldest had the same problem and when he was 9 ended up in hospital to have his "glue ear", adenoids and tonsils done. Just hope O doesn't have to wait that long. :-(
Off to clear up and work out what we are eating tonight.

Glad you liked the pie Ginns - as you can see, it is a 'pie' but without the fuss of making pastry! - Just the thing to do at breakfast time:
You need about 8 slices of bread (remove the crusts).
4 - 5 oz cheese - Double Gloucester is good, or cheddar, or a mixture of the two as I have used.- Slice this quite thinly.
8 oz or so of tomatoes, sliced
1/4 pint of milk 1 large egg.
1 teasp made mustard (if you have it) salt and freshly ground pepper.
I also use a bit of grated parmesan to sprinkle on the top but you don't have to use this.
...........
Butter the bread and sandwich together with the cheese and tomatoes.
Cut each sandwich into 4 triangles and arrange these in a greased shallow ovenproof dish.
Beat the egg with the milk, and mustard, salt and pepper and pour this over the sandwiches.
Leave to stand for about 30 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed.
Bake at 190degrees C for 25 - 30 mins or until top is crisp and golden.
When it is almost done I sprinkle a little parmesan on the top and sometimes, if it is needed, I put it under the grill for a couple of minutes.

P.S. - It is also nice for a supper with a salad.

Sounds like the right decision for little O at the moment Linds - Could they at least see any sign of where the eardrum had perforated ?
Lets hope that it is something she is 'growing out of'

Dea,
I am sure she will have a great time.
O was at the ENT today. Surprisingly they couldn't see anything (might be an idea to look when her ears are bad)
D-I-L was given 3 choices - get gromits in her ears, put her on 6 weeks of antibiotics (which could give her thrush) or keep an eye on it.
She has decided to keep an eye on it. goes back in 2 months.
So no further forward as to finding the cause.

"Only one more sleep" and then my little grand-daughter will be off on an adventure! - She is SSSooooo excited !! ;-) :-D :-D
She is off on her first school trip in the morning and won't be back until Friday. - They are going to a place in the Peak District where they will be absailing, canooing, wall climbing etc. etc...............
She has about eight bags packed plus rucksack as they have to take at least 5 sets of clothing, waterproofs, fleeces, boots, wellingtons, shoes etc as she tells me that they will be getting wet through at least twice a day :-D :-D
I would say that I hope the weather stays dry but I don't suppose it matters if you are going to be soaking wet all the time anyway :-0
It is set to be nice though so I am sure she will have a lovely time. - Rather her than me ;-) :-D

Morning all....... :-D
That's quite a breakfast you've put on there Dea.....thank you.... <3
The appointment had mixed results. Part of his eye is better and part is worse but, at least he doesn't have to be referred back to the Eye Hospital in Liverpool as yet. He is to continue with the monthly eye injections for three months. Not bad really. :-D
When we got home, I took on a mad hour or so and painted the porch, power washed the garden bench and made tea. No rest for the wicked eh? :-D :-D
Today I would like to finish the power washing but the weather doesn't look very promising. The garage needs another tidy up and the bedrooms are due to be hoovered......so that should keep me out of mischief for a while.
Dea, the charity shops will be delighted with whatever you take. When I go with stuff, there are always people looking for good clothes and it seems there are many bargains to be found. I sometimes have a little mooch for audio books and board books for creche. :-D
Apart from that Dea, you will feel much relieved to have had a good old sort through of stuff - I'm a great believer in having a sort out every so often as all of us have things which we no longer use but which could be helpful to someone else.
Hope O's ENT appointment goes well.
Off to my next job....~~~~~~

I don't like spring cleaning Ginns but it has to be done!
There are a few items which I will have to keep even though they don't fit, as little grand-daughter loves to dress up in them and wants to have them when she gets bigger. ;-) :-D
They almost fit her now but will probably do so in the next 12 months or so :-0 :-D :-D
Other than that - 'everything MUST go!'

Well - I seem to be up a little early this morning so I will have a quick cup of tea and then make a start on he breakfast............
Good morning all :-)
Full English will be available with extra fried bread,
Platters of assorted cheeses and hams,
Toast, crumpets, freshly baked bread rolls, crackers and home made parmesan crisps. - Various sweet and savoury spreads, including Marmite .....
Croissants, danish pastries and blueberry or apple and cinnamon muffins.
Porridge too as it is a fairly cool morning, with fresh fruits,
Cereals, yoghurts..........
Hope you will enjoy <3 <3 <3
After that I am going to make a start on clearing out my wardrobes !
I have 2 large double wardrobes and 8 drawers and cupboards groaning with clothes - at least 95% of which I will never wear again as they are just too big and I have now admitted that I will never grow back into them so I am going to be quite ruthless this time ;-) It is ALL going to the Charity shops. Some of it is unworn so it should be of some use to someone.
It will take me the rest of the week at least to get it all done but it will be worth it in the end.
See you all later - hope you all have a good day,
Dea Xxx
