No Dea never made it to opticians had to cancel as I had a tummy bug will get

there at some point this week.

I lost the whole day yesterday but am now working on FT and my lot are eating off their knees tonight - I am not moving anything off the table

My friend who is visiting from Australia is coming over tomorrow.

Will be great to see her again (she is the one whose son died last year aged 16 )

Can't wait to give her a hug :-) :-)

A long day yesterday but we had a fab time. I think the bride and groom were pleased to have us there as they spent most of their time at our table!

Ate too much, drank a lot but not too much, crawled into bed about 2am

Chill out day today.............................

Cheese and onion tartlets, sausage, egg and bacon pie, asparagus quiche...

Crispy bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, fried bread...

Platters of assorted hams and cheeses, freshly baked bread rolls, crackers..

Apple and cinnamon muffins, croissants, danish pastries, fresh fruits and berries.

The storm went away but all he greens were flooded so the golf was called of anyway ;-)

It started off sunny this morning but is now dull and grey rain is forecast :-(

Dea will keep my fingers crossed for the lightening to stay ;-)

I have an opticians appointment this afternoon.

It's a 'Health & Safety" thing Ginns - There are a lot of trees on the golf course and, of course, there are all those people waving metal clubs around or sheltering under the trees so if there is lightening about they have to sound the claxon and take everyone in off the course.

It has stopped here now so he might have to play after all but there will still be heavy rain and it won't do his cold any good to get soaked through :-( Plus which, I doubt he has enough energy to last the 18 holes :-0

I was up at 5.30am and went back to bed at 6.30am, thought I better as we have a long day ahead

Going to get a card and put a cheque in, hate putting cash in as it gets left on the gift table and you never know.......

The weather isn't looking great here either Cynths - thunderbolts and lightning !! :-(

Grand-daughter is away on brownie camp but I don't suppose she will mind ;-) :-D :-D

Hubby is hoping the storm will continue here as he is supposed to be playing in a Golf competition and we have both been suffering with an AWFUL cold all week !

We are having a quiet night, no Friday gang as we are all off to a (Friday Gang) wedding tomorrow

Phew!! Busy -ish day.

Been out for bits and pieces. did 2 lots ofwashing while the sun is shining.

Housework done except for what needs ironed from the washings.

Now working on FT and the rest of the weekend is mine all mine :-)

Only thing I have to do tomorrow is visit optician to see if my eye is back to normal .

We got home just after 9pm.

The meal was lovely even better that we used vouchers that were given to us at Christmas.

We still have some left which we need to use by the end of the month.

I guess we will just have to force ourselves to go back ;-)

Just back from son's and dil's they asked us round for coffee.

OH hardly got in the door when O ran up to him with his card closely followed by F doing her best to carry his present .

as soon as he sat down O sang "Happy birthday grampa" :-D :-D

She had baked cookies with Mummy for grampa :-D
