now clean, scrubbed and smartly dressed

so there Cyn

ha ha

everything crossed for JB

Unfortunately, universities (as well as other places) do tend to have someone in mind when a job opening occurs

....... over here, the ad is often written with that person in mind, no-one else could possibly have all those qualifications, experience and abilities

Of course ......... someone may appear out of the woodwork who does have all that is asked!

so now, could JB be the challenger?!

I worked for the university for over 30 years, and OH was on faculty for 37 years ..........we both had lots of experience in and of this!

OH's face looks like a one-sided hamster!

One root canal, and a tooth where a cyst was removed from one of the roots

Got the estimate for the floor covering, have to go to the store to talk it over with an estimator (company policy), and sign .......... seemed pretty good to me:-

12' x 15' kitchen ............... new vinyl covering, approved underlay, labour (including moving & replacing 2 appliances, and cover plates at the 2 doorways), and all taxes ..... just under $1500 (or ca. £800-900)

Hmmm....a dilema for the Uni me thinks

And you have not booked your flight over for the week on Eccy Rd.....

Hmmm...dentist

Ive missed my 6 month check up...will be in the bad books and may have to go private

They kicked JB off the NHS list for missing a check up and now he pays £85 for it

I pay about £17...well at the moment that is!

Renes Report 28 Sep 2010 08:51

Morning all

Bldy internet - opened a pm from a friend about squirrels and nuts - and that was it - gone -

OH was just waiting for his film to start - so not a happy bunny

Thanks for brekkie Sylvia -

Gins - will keep fingers crossed for JB - it could be quick interview because the Uni actually want someone to start quickly - keep positive

Dea - correct everywhere peerrfect for sister -

just her Tray to do - when us sisters visit each other - we all make a Tray beside the bed - always new pyjamas and slippers - then little pressies - special sweeties - favourite fruit - ( one time this sister gift wrapped on my Tray a packet of Lurpak )

Have a chinese pattern porcelain cup - with a lid and a inset with holes in it for tea bag ( she a tea-aholic - all my sisters are - except me - hate tea) will pick a small bunch of grapes Thursday morning - and a flower for her little vase - a small dish of fudge filled biscuity sticks - and will look for something cute on Wed when having hair done
any other ideas ??

On the subject of Dentists - I love the dentist - used to go every 2 months for teeth cleaning - and have fillings with no injections - my dentist used to say Irene this is a 3 - meaning he would be drilling for a count of 3 - or 4 -
one time he said it is a 6 - so I have to inject -

It is really much better - pain for 3 or 4 seconds - then nothing - no droopy mouth . no dribbling - Nada

My OH said he fell in love with me - when I said I loved the dentist - as he thought - Yep she is the one for me - she unique -

Now thats what I call Romance

Gee Report 28 Sep 2010 09:17

What a lovely idea....the tray thingy.

If you did me a tray heres what I would wish for;

PJ's...love em, I put a clean pair on every night

HAIR BAND; to keep the hair out of my face when I brush and wash

DENTAL TAPE; cant go anywhere without it

BOOK; anything by Robert Harris

Pontefract cakes.....I wouldnt insult you by bringing them back....ewee

Renes

Renes Report 28 Sep 2010 09:31

Yep

Good one - I take the hair band - she has extremely thick - dead straight hair - has just had a long bob cut - so ideal

Put it on my list

I actually prefer nighties - have about 10 silk short nighties - patel colours with printing on ( I think it is called silk screen printing - it is quite pale flowery thing - just one or two ) I love em - fresh every night - no ironing 5 minutes to dry

I thought Pontefract cakes were nice

Renes

Book also good idea but her husband deals in books - so will bring her own - for airport and flight

Gee

Gee Report 28 Sep 2010 09:37

Little Minx

All us girls have all our own teeth - Poor Mum lost all hers - said it was all the children she had -
could not wear dentures said they made her gag -

though she could get through an entrecote steak with those gums faster than us with teeth - Bless
