There are lots of unique gifts on EBay - some you can buy now - eg /Edwardian-Heavy-9ct-Rose-Gold-Pocket-Watch-Fob - 31 pounds
And /ANTIQUE-9ct-SOLID-GOLD-AGATE-ALBERT-CHAIN-SWIVEL-FOB-/ 32 pounds

Not strictly car key fob - but unique and special for a special day and son

cough...

1958 model as well. ~~~~~~~~~

My mother gave me a back scratcher and a wooden pot thing with a £10 note in for my 18th.
I still have the backscratcher, but a puppy chewed 2 fingers off the "hand" part.
Lord knows where the pot went, didnt like it anyway, and the £10 note went on baby things,No I son was born 5 months later.

Opinion please?

What I am asking is if any of you think that Jane and Rees are the birth children of Sage and James Hillier/Hellier/Helliar?

I dont, going on the evidence of the census and no births for them under the name Hilliar etc.

Never mind,I am certain in my mind that they are both "adopted"and Sage and James did not have kids of their own by birth.

Have you got FMP passenger lists? It still wont let me o the page?

If you have can you look up for Albert Davis Parkin/s going out in about 1871.He was born c1841.

If you find him can you park it on here please?(To save muddying my work..:))

I think I have to go to bed now, starting to wilt.

How come you keep Canadian hours Ja...x?I have always wondered, but do tell me to mind me own business if you dont want to answer that question.

Didnt get anything for my 21st,I was in Llandrindod Wells hosp with a burst eardrum (Terrible pain)and they didnt bother making the 100 mile drive to visit me all week, said they were too busy on the farm and looking after my son..
Got a shared cake and party on my brothers 21st 3 yrs later in the April,my birthday is in January !
No pressie still though.

Grrrrrrrrr
I was offline all day.

Dea

Snow that isn't there could be several things.

Do you have pain?

Is it in both eyes?

Are the eyes red or sore?

How long have you had the symptoms?

All new symptoms should be checked out as soon as possible.

I do not know where you normally go can I suggest you find one that can do either digital retinal photography or similar testing. An independent optician optician is a good idea.

hi all

been busy today ..... but don't know what I've been busy doing!

actually, part of the time was spent loading photos from various emails into correct folders on My Pictures.

I got a watch for my 18th birthday, then I got another watch with several interchangeable different coloured straps for my 21st birthday ...... never quite knew why Mum had bought me the second one!

Much older brother gave me a silver charm bracelet and 6 charms

Mum died about 3 months later ............... and Dad then decided to have his old gold watch chain (the kind that looped across the waistcoat) altered to make a bracelet for me, and added the gold fob (Oldham's coat of arms) as the first charm. Then he added a charm for every birthday and Christimas until I got married 6 years later. He said it saved him having to think what to give me. I wore that bracelt every day, work or pleasure, for about 15 years .... then it got too heavy, and noisy, to wear to work!

Actually, the bracelet and fob were pretty special.

His father died of TB and alcoholism when Dad was about 10, and his mother raised the children by herself ........ 3 boys and 3 girls. She saved her husband's watch, chain and fob, and gave one to each of the boys when they got to 21. She also scraped and saved, and gave each of them the "missing" items.

Dad as the second eldest boy got the watch chain ........ so the bracelet I have dates back to at least my grandfather. The watch and fob were "new". I got Dad's watch after he died in 1970 ............. brother didn't want it.
