Yoo hoo....

Cynth I as bin cleanin all day! Windows, sills, hoovering the lot. Still have loads to do

Cooking dinner now so will be eating soon

In Waitrose car park earlier and this bloke looks like he is turning but indeed is reversing into a lot....I had to gently beep him so I could reverse...or he was going to hit my front end!

He flung his door open and was SOOO angry, shouting language I shall not repeat here...then I could see the sudden look on his face.....

He was doing it to a women....and his wife gave him far worse than I ever could

He should have been shopping at Netto ;)

Why are some people sooo angry, I never does road rage

Dea Dearest

I am here also - Jax was also here a while ago - it is a quiet day

Am now already for my beloved sisters arrival - Cyn would be proud of me - I have washed everything - washable - and cleaned and polished - everything I could not wash

Inside and out - all my terraces - steps - all outside tiles have been buffed - even the roof lining of the car has been cleaned

I have very long fingernails - and with all the bleaches and ammonias cleaning products - they are also gleaming white - look like I have had a French manicure

Hair trim and highlights Wed and am all ready for Thursday

Can't wait

Dea Dearest

Of course I would - I would do it for all visitors
Perhaps not cleaning car lining - we have been toting logs for the winter in car ( it is a 4x4 ) - so it gets grubby

I actually am quite house proud but OH is normally the "Cleaner " I am a washing and ironing freak - even wash my pillows ( feather) every couple months

JB has Asthma so I make sure things are as dust mite free as poss

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 26 Sep 2010 20:16

Well, aren't you a clean bunch today then??? I haven't picked up a duster for a couple of days, but have done loads of washing.

Renes.....you sound sooo excited it's almost contagious!

Gins....anger? Some people have a very short fuse indeed I agree. So many reasons I suppose.....stress, tiredness, worry, health issues.......the list could go on but, like you, I think life is too short to get in a lather about something like parking!!

Just made OH a blackberry and apple crumble with custard.......so I am now in his good books...hahhaa

Gee

Gee Report 26 Sep 2010 20:30

Gins

One of my friends here - told me she has not washed her feather pillows since she purchased them in M&S - 7 years ago

Made my feel ill - all those dust mites doo doo - asked her - how ever much do they weigh

She washed this summer - had to put them thru machine 3 times -

I would have black bagged them

Ugh

Yep me too Renes....nasty

OK you who know everything......how about a good idea for my son's 18th birthday which is coming up

I want to buy something that he can keep forever. We are giving money too (towards a car/ins)

Ideas???

Renes

Renes Report 26 Sep 2010 21:05

Gins

Gold key fob - engraved - for car keys

Buy him a star - named after him - then add for each of his children - certificates are neat

Buy him a newspaper for dob and have it framed

Gold Key Fob...Good idea Dea,til he looses his keys,or puts them down and has them stolen for the gold content.
Maybe a gold plated one?

But an excellent idea though...

Dont use feather pillows, bad for my asthma, use those kapok jobby ones and they wash and dry easily.
But I just buy the cheap ones and chuck em when I think their lifetime is up.

Gee

Gee Report 26 Sep 2010 22:04

You mean what Mikey.....?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 26 Sep 2010 22:20

er....why do I have to back off Gins.....??? From where to where?

I chuck my pillows when they're past their best too.

Quite enjoying the new Downham Abbey programme.

Gee

Gee Report 26 Sep 2010 22:21

Just to let you know Mikey.....my boys have been through the mill.

Yet, have turned out as good young people

They are not spoilt, they do not get everything they want as and when.

They do get help...as any mom would give....but they have to save up and work for things too

I’m quite ‘aggrieved’ at how you posted...maybe I read it wrong...I hope so

Gee

Gee Report 26 Sep 2010 22:28

BTW.....'Keep forever' could be a silver ring worth £9.99

Too much of a gesture for your son?

jax

jax Report 26 Sep 2010 22:33

It used to be the 21st birthday which was celebrated more than the 18th. The gift my parents gave me was their permission to marry my boyfriend! I think I still have the card they sent me but cannot, for the life of me, remember a tangible gift. Memories are a gift in themselves.
