Why Gins keeps signing her posts numpty when her name is Gins?

Today I received my gt.grandfather's death cert. Deep joy.


His name was Daniel Cork and the informant was his 'widow', L. (Louisa) Cork.

However, I cannot find a marriage for this pair despite my heroic efforts.

Louisa was his second 'wife', (I have the cert for his first marriage to Olive.)

The years will be between 1887 (when his first wife died) and 1932 when he died.


I suppose they could have been 'living over the brush' , would like some eggspurt checking before I come to that conclusion.

All help gratefully received. No rush. See you on the morrow.


ps. One of the causes of death was 'senility' ....... hm heriditary I suppose......sigh.

Wednesday... bashing together some documents for them as they have decided to come and visit today (Thursday) She made me cut the grass and tidy the garden yesterday and is in flap for the visit.

As I snuggled down last night, I thought...."Oh drat!" - or words to that effect....."I haven't given them her surname". Yep Gins. That's the lady thanks [pat on back for Gins]....it's just that she's on his death cert as Cork and, apparently, is buried as Cork. Looks like they never did tie the knot then.

I know Fans....they're a real pain my Cork's. My grandma was Beatrice Cork.......at school she was called Beattie Bung! shame.
