it seems from the last 2 nights that I cannot post [_]) or (_)? or even (_)

Forgot to say

Hi everyone!

Dea ........... that was a great email that you got.

So we can offer and do look-ups!

Anyone notice that the membership numbers are seemingly not as reliable an indicator to length of time someone has been a member?

Lorraine's number was quite low ...........nowhere near the 11 million mark

I'm still a fuddy duddy ..................... no facebook, and no cell phone either!

As a matter of interest (or not )... ...........

Because of arthritis was advised to use Butter and full-fat milk, steering clear of any margerine, low-fast spread or skimmed milk etc or anything that has been "doctored" (i.e. processed )

SylviaInCanada

But the thing is these people with low numbers could have registered years ago but never paid to use the boards like myself

I have seen a few comments about the length of time people have been members so they should know what they are doing by now???

where in all probability they had never been on here

I 100 percent agree - have never eaten margarine in my life - knowingly - my mother would not give it to us - if we did not have butter - we had it dry with jam / or filling

Never used anything but normal milk -

Never have salt - even in cooking -same as my Mum

If I cannot grow or buy an ingredient in a product - I do not buy or eat it

Well....for what its worth...avoid all processed foods as much as poss...

Eat fresh and COOK...tastes much better and is much better for you

Be warned about 'beetroot'.....although its very good for you!

Robert

that sounds even worse than deep fried Mars bars!

Haven't eaten butter for over 20 years

............... of course, I haven't been able to eat ANY dairy for the last 5 or years anyway!

and I rarely eat margarine

We have found that having dry toast with jam really brings out the flavour of the jam or marmalade!

We do use margarine when making mashed potatoes or mashed sweded, etc

I do have some butter in the freezer for when we have visitors

SALT.......

Amazing...but we all know it's bad for you.

However, we eat good fats such as olive oil, grape seed oil etc....so I think our diet is better than my parents

LARD!

Renes

Renes Report 25 Aug 2010 21:05

As kids we always had toast and dripping for breakfast following roast dinners the night before - mind you meat was very fatty then

We always had to have " green " bacon - so not salt
