	Rene ........... that Peter has been posting between 3 and 5 or 6 threads an evening 4 or 5 nights a week. Uuually seems to start about 10 pm. He always says that they are relatives ........ but I doubt anyone could have so many names in their family!! Every thread on any one night is for a different name. When he first started posting on GR and asking for help he said that he was a student doing a thesis or paper on a certain person. As a student, he couldn't afford the sub, so he asked for help Everyone was really willing. That went on for about 18 months. Then about 2 years ago he started this sequence He was queried about it some time ago .... and said that his thesis was finished, he had graduated, and was now doing his own family. The big suspicion is that he is in fact doing genealogy for other people ......... charging them but getting the work all down for free. I'm only one of about 8 or 10 people who used to help him, but have come to resent being used. s xxx

	Thing is Renes he is always very polite and grateful. People do not mind looking up census's but when he asks for 6 or 7 on the same persons not including 1881 as that is FREE I think its taking the P Followed by probate look ups on the said family ja...x Perhaps thats why they hav'nt replied to my emails as I am only speaking to a computer sylv

	Sylvia, I think that they make it up as they go along hence the inconsistency. There are and have been look-up offer posts for all sorts on these boards and long may they remain. It seems to me that if it is an offer to look up something that GR is not associated with then those offers are allowed to remain. If however the post offers to look up something that GR offers its "Upgraded" members then they are not. To a certain extent I can understand that. After all if I had paid a lot of cash for the rights to something then I would object if someone came along and offered it free to my potential customers. What bemuses me is that the thread of mine that they deleted did not fall into a "Look-up" category, nor did it pose any threat to GR's livelihood or to the best of my knowledge did it infringe any of their rules, so why was it deleted. Obviously not as a result of an "Abuse" complaint or else GR would have sent me the same email that Jax and others received when their threads were deleted. I strongly suspect that it was probably deleted by someone at GR with nothing better to do. The good thing is that other than some amusement it was providing to its followers, nothing major was lost when the thread disappeared from view.
	Researching: Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

	I'm not that bothered my thread got whooooshed, but If they object to something why just not delete those bits rather than delete the whole lot without telling you first. My thread was not only for the 1911 and it was only after someone started one for 1911 look ups that mine went. What I cannot understand is why another one got deleted (just the census info) and not all the others I had done or anyone elses that I could see, although I have heard a few random ones had been deleted since ja...x

	I sent a comment to GR a while ago (before all this latest whooshing) and they actually thanked me for all that I do!! Made me wonder what they are monitoring??? Maybe they noticed that my contacts list is nearly as big as their data base.....lol Night Gins.........
