Went to the local records office today and it's full of middle aged to elderly folk all poring over micro fiche etc.etc. quite funny really.



The Scots seem to breed quite well don't they Trace? My mum was born in Dundee on Hogmonay....must have been some celebration party for that event!!

I am glad my rellies did'nt even adventure as far north as the Watford Gap.

Since doing this my geography of England has improved, but I do have a northener living with me to help out if I get stuck, before I google the place

Had a look for myself on 192.com today found 3 entries

2002 living with my husband but left him in 2001

2002-2007 living with parents I was there for 6 months in 2004

2010 living with someone who is 65+ so told him he has to go as I'm not sharing with a pensioner

He is'nt over 65 must have ticked wrong box

I think 'nuffink' is more over to the west midlands - perhaps 'Dudloy (Dudley) ??

'Nuffin' sounds more like 'up north' ??

well I found him first saying 65+ so had to check what he had put me down as but it was ok.

Trouble is, when you hear the word 'Wigan' everyone thinks of cloth caps, whippets, clogs etc. - is that right Gins?


However, the countryside around here is spectacular and I am fortunate to live in a fairly rural part just 2 mins from that scenery........lucky ol' me.
