I sometimes find it a bit odd that people have to make such a to do about leaving the site......I can understand that you may want your friends to know but you can always pm them can't you? Just wonder if it is attention seeking to be honest.

If you were really going to do it you wouldnt put up a thread so that all your cronies could "try and persuade you to stay".

An earth closet it an outside loo with no water of course.

Or you digs a hole and when the hole is nearly full you fills it in and digs a hole elsewhere.
Then moves the Ty Bach to stand over it.
Bit like moving the chicken shed and run ..

Or of course you can have the good old "bucket and chuck it"as in the elsan.

Although it is recommended to bury it really.

Many organic people use it to fertilise the veg patch.

China do it all the time.

But it is best if you have 2 buckets for that system,, you move from one to the other for each part of your "offering"as the urine is not so good for the land due to a high ammonia content.

Ah - I am with you now - for some reason that escapes me now - I thought it had to do with worms -

We are on "main drainage" here but it all flows from the village untreated in to river - lots of villagers have block built "boxes" that drain on to their land - they put a dead animal in to start the bacterial process apparently -

All very messy - think I would prefer the earth toilet system myself
