Adding to the variety of subject matter on this thread.. JUNK MAIL

We all get it I'm sure. Most of it is instantly filed away in my large green filing cabinet (Recycling Bin) but occasionally I read some of it first. Here is this mornings batch (No wonder my postman suffers with his back):

A two for one Pizza offer (Yummy)

A brochure offering to save me up to £1,500 on river cruises throughout Europe.

A card from a training college offering courses in various subjects including:

English and Maths from KS1 (Whatever that is) to GCSE level.

Preparation of Car theory test with voice-over in Punjabi and Hindi

An ESOL Citizen course for those applying for indefinate leave to remain in Britain and those who have failed the Life in the UK test.

The final piece of Junk mail was to me at least, the most amusing:

A postcard from the Girlguiding UK telling me that by giving one hour per month of my time I can help to make a difference to girls and young women in my community. Now in my youth that may have been true but today I'm not so sure. Have they never heard of peadophiles. For those who don't know that is someone who is sexually attracted to vegetables (lol).

I often get the Pizza 2 for one offer and free delivery included?Still to find someone to deliver 50+ miles for free from those Pizza places yet,nearest being Swansea.
And if they did it would be cold I suspect and they would have to give me my money back anyway as that is one of their guarantees.

Gins....if I may point the following out?

1. You are hardly likely to be standing in a DRY shower are you?

2. How good to know that you still have your own teeth as, indeed, do I.

Jonesey......I seem to live in an area where a pizza shop opens every 10 minutes according to the amount of junk advertising I get. However, the nearest one is a long way from me. You actually have time to READ the junk mail......whew.......

As for the subject of 'Peas'! My oldest friend is a professor of Biology in Texas. Her main subject whilst at Aber in Wales......the sex life of the pea. I kid you not.

It was worth taking the time to 'wonder' as it did make me laugh!

Nope I always drank common a garden tea before I went somewhere and I had the best cuppa ever...I asked and they said it's 'Assam'

I hate all the posh teas....try Assam and you'll never buy PG Tips again...same sorta taste just crisper and more refreshing

Which takes me back to a holiday in the US. A big loud American lady on the table next to us at breakfast shouts at the waiter 'Do you have TWIN....ings'
