Have put request on tips with spelling amended.

I remember vaguely being given a bottle of eau de cologne 4711.

Dea

Dea Report 4 Aug 2010 18:49

LK - That was 4711 - and very gorgeous at the time. - You had to 'dab' it on your forehead to cool you down !!

Michael - I don't think 'Tweed ' was connected to the 'Paris' one.

I think it was something like 'eau de paris' ???

VERY distinctive shaped bottle - someone will remember

Jonesey Report 4 Aug 2010 19:17

Could it be Evening in Paris?

I think that most girls I encountered in my youth wore Canal No 9. I think that it cost 9 guineas a barrel.

Dea

Dea Report 4 Aug 2010 19:34

I used to wear Blue Grass

loved it

but then OH told me one day a few months after we married that he could only smell the chemical content of perfumes

and Blue Grass smelt like DDT to him

THAT's what you get for marrying a chemist whose sense of smell was always poor but further damaged by the stuff we used to semll all the time in labs, before Health and Safty came in

Morning everyone!
