The Lines descendant in Canada has helpfully sent details of her Lines ancestors, but in a file I cannot open, so will have to wait for IT consultant (son) to help me. She also wrote down a few bits. She says that George Keen b 2.3.1853 married an Emily Bond then also emigrated to Canada. So 4 of them emigrated altogether. She is the ggrandaughter of Thomas Lines.

I'm wondering about this family - William and Mary possibly grandparents??

Swalcliffe is no more than 2 miles away from Sibford Gower and Sibford Ferris and they are about 5 miles out of Banbury. Neithrop is now a suburb of Banbury.

I've just found a DNA match with one of the Lines family from Canada. On her tree she has Ann Spicer listed as Ann Selina Spicer, which gives another name to look up.......

Ann - A KEEN and the 3 children J, G and W KEAN all appear to be in the local workhouse in 1861 - Union House, Warwick Road, Neithrop, Banbury

Which shows a difference in spelling of the surname.

Angelina shortened to Ann and John Keen spelt with an E marriage in the right area around a year prior to the birth of Jane looks a good bet.

1851 - There are these couples both in the area - (Neithrop)
John and Martha Mold aged 23 and 30
and
John and Emma Jones 23 and 18 (child James 1851 mmn Hughes).

and in Shoreditch Joseph and Ann BOYS both 24 b Banbury with daughter Mary Ann b 1850 Shoreditch - register shows BOYES mmn French
